Joyce turned pro in his 30's, not in his early 20's after a very short amateur career. At a similar age Joyce turned pro, Wilder was fighting Ortiz and Fury.

Stiverne was a decent opponent in 2015, not when Wilder destroyed him in 2017, or when Joyce feasted on the carcas in 2019. 40's Takam was also not decent when Joyce beat him.

If Joyce had fought Wilder's opponents he likely would have got past the first 32, Stiverne 1, and made defences, but he would have taken a ton of damage doing it, and he'd have lost to Ortiz, who Abel Sanchez admitted ducking for Joyce post-Wilder 1.

Vitali was never lineal, he lost against final career fight Lewis for the lineal title. Wilder came closer to winning the lineal title vs Fury 1.

Wilder was a long reigning champ, like Vitali. His best wins were Ortiz x2, Stiverne 1 and Chisora, very comparable to Vitali's best wins Sanders, Chisora and Peter. Hide was paper chinned and small.

If you stack up their 10 best wins there is not much difference. Kevin Johnson is a top 10 Vitali win, though not a top 10 Fury win. Vitali's resume is overrated, Wilder's is underrated.

Whyte didnt fight a 2016 Povetkin either, he fought a 2020 Povetkin, and somehow lost.

I don't care about your mental gymnastics which presents shot Povetkin as a "bigger risk" and therefore more credible opponent than a Fury who has just dismantled Wilder.

Also, if Wilder's rematch with Fury after getting schooled and battered is discounted because Wilder had already lost and Fury had the title, what is AJ's duck of Dubois other than an act of total cowardice? Surely AJ had "nothing to lose and everything to gain"?

Only ones on here who have better resumes than Wilder right now are Fury, Joshua, and Usyk

    Dubois is debatable.
Parker is kind of close if he wouldve beaten Wardley I think he mightve edged it

The others are laughable for the most part especially Wardley and Ruiz

    Its extremely similar to Wilders

He was the secondary champion for almist all of that time and had no signature wins.

Deontay Wilder has 3 wins over reigning top 10 ranked opponents in his entire career. Bermane Stiverne. Luis Ortiz x2, with the first fight with Ortiz being very competitive.

Dubois obliterating Anthony Joshua & Fabio Wardley, alongside a win over Filip Hyrgovic is without question a better set of wins than Wilder's. Jarrell Miller is also better than Wilder's non top 10 wins.

Ruiz's win over a prime Anthony Joshua completely shits on Deontay Wilders entire career, + he also has a win over Luis Ortiz.

Joseph Parker and Zhang not only have better wins than Wilder but they also have wins over Wilder himself so that's not debatable.

Wardley is a single win over another contender away from having a better resume than Wilder and he's only been operating at a world level for just over a year BUT I agree is currently premature you got me on that one.

You can't even mount an argument in favour of Wilder though lol. You just said it's laughable without explaining it.

unified world champion 2 time world champion after a gold medal in olympics isnt a dissapointment tbh.. if not for usyk he would of had a solid chance being undisputed a few years back. all last night did is show he is seriously declining at a fast rate . even with fury also on the decline aj will get beaten up and ko'd i think by him now

Dubois quit 3 times so ya that's a big deduction in my book.

Andy Ruiz has 1 great win... Not enough to put him over Wilder

Wardley should've lost to Frazier Clarke who's might not even be as good as Dominic Brazeale

Wardley has 1 big time win and it was a controversial stoppage vs Parker

Wardley also was losing every round to Huni who is not significantly better than most of Wilders defenses (if better at all)

Parker and Zhang beat Wilder past prime

Zhang beat Joyce twice but lost to Hrgovic, Parker and got stopped by Kabayel also a draw vs Jerry Forest

I can't imagine Wilder ever struggling with anyone like that

Wilder has 2 great efforts vs Fury (that's a part of your resume not just wins and losses) knockout wins over his defenses count for something imo. Ortiz is similar level to Joyce at the time Wilder and Zhang fought them. Knocking out Braezele and dominating Stiverne is better than the r st of Zhang resume imo

Hrgovic fight was close but I thought Hrgovic edged it

    The gold medal is fake
    He clearly didn't deserve it

People on this forum need to stop bringing it up

It's like saying the guy who beat Roy Jones has a gold medal

    That's for you

    I don't go off that

The same people that say Anthony Joshua "won a gold medal" will call Wilders belt fake or his draw with Fury fake

    Which one is it ?

Is it about official results or not

    What excuses are those?

    - Fury is the better fighter and will start as a comfortable favourite when they entre the ring.
    - Fury would have been a comfortable favourite at whatever point they would have entered the ring during their respective careers.

How are either of those "Excuses" for Joshua?

I don't understand the 'Tribalism' in an individual sport, surely you just want the best fights?

I personally want to be surprised and witness some kind of "AJ Reborn", who has some kind of late revival and is able to put on greats fights against the next generation. Why do I want AJ to do that? Because he's the one with the physical attributes to be able to do that because of his power....Fury's time is sadly more limited because of his style, he's not going to change a fight against an Itauma, Kabayel, Dubois etc, just by "Landing", whereas Joshua still could hypothetically.

I just want to watch great fights, I couldn't care about being a "Fan" or even worse, a "Hater", of a particular boxer

Footwork always wins in boxing and AJ has zero footwork. He's an upright plodding bum with a basic which is why Fury used Wach and Makmudov. You cannot beat Fury standing in front of him with a 1,2. Wlad learn't that.

He can't bumrush Fury either because he sucks inside.

What is going to do? the Usyk pressure tactics? good luck then you'll run into the only punch which fury might be able to get power on with the uppercut.
