Having watched last nights fight back a couple of times now and watching all the BS media guys talking utter shite, I have come to the conclusion he need to retire today. Duke McKenzie has done a brilliant plea to AJ and he needs to take it on board and not listen to what anyone else is saying to him. To sum up Duke is bang on on every level. Anyone who is close to AJ and love him need to tell him he needs to walk away now. Prenga is a joke and hit AJ with a low power uppercut and dropped him then dropped him again with a jab. His punch resistance is completely gone none existent and could end up in a serious injury where your 500 million will be no use to you. Hearn is the worst of the lot he claims AJ is his best friend..... what sort of friend puts you in a position where you could end up seriously hurt. Hearn will have been straight into that dressing room to gas AJ up and tell him he is the king again and went though adversity and came out the other side telling him that they were flash knockdowns and AJ was cold and nervous. Its really sad that he wont tell him straight as his friend because he wants his 20%. I have always been a massive Fury fan and an AJ hater but lets be real the fight between Fury and AJ has no spark now. Fury's decline is evident his movement is slow and his footwork is none existent now but he can still hold a shot and has still got pretty fast hands for a big guy but he is nowhere near the fighter he was. But AJ is shot to bits. He was mentally shot by the time he fought Usyk the second time and Dubois tipped him into being physically shot as well. Everyone knows it but everyone seems happy for him to continue so we can see a fight between 2 guys who have basically nothing left AJ more so than Fury. AJ was in a crash that nearly killed him and did kill his 2 best friends 7 months ago and Hearn couldn't wait to wheel him out again its absolutely disgusting tbh do they want him to be seriously hurt or even die just so they can earn a few million to add to the millions they already have it seems insane to me. Someone seriously needs to get a hold of him and tell him to stop as i can only see this ending very badly, You can also clearly see the guy is depressed in his demeanour he has a lot of demons from the crash still going on and a loss to Fury could tip him over the edge its very very sad to see. I really really hope someone can talk him into retirement in the next week or so but there will be more people in his ear trying to convince him to carry on for their own vested interests. Maybe Usyk could be the only guy to do it i don't think he would have a vested interest in seeing AJ carry on.
A lot of words there mate but nah, he will fight feather fisted Fury next, who is also shot and the loser (which is likely to be AJ) will retire.
Usyk stated pre fight that AJ had made significant improvements since joining the camp. You are spot on - when the Daddy Cool music came on at Wembley Stadium with Joshua crumpled in a heap after being pummeled by Dubois, his career was over. Absolute madness to keep going with all that loot in the bank. Any Fury v Joshua fight will be a glorified scripted exhibition and they will be after the trilogy as well.
Dubois cracked Joshua's chin in pieces. Once that happens at this stage of your career you don't come back. Having said that his fight is against a shot fury who isn't a big puncher for huge sums
All Hearn cares about is watching the numbers in his current account go up a bit more while he bones that little bird from australia on the side.
Power doesn't always go up with levels. If it did, Wilder would have been P4P number one. The main problem for AJ was the fact that the bin man was able to land on him.
Story of how much money is enough? BOTH fighters should retire, one has many times. I guess they will fight, I will watch it unless a 2am or later job , like many the result I really CGAF. If they fight once they go again on the rematch clause unless one of them or both see sense or sadly get a bad injury. Close people around them Spencer Brown and Eddie Hearn will be nervous as they will both get millions for one meeting, let alone two. Both have said in the last couple of days the fighters are the best they have looked in years (gym wise, physically), says it all they are giving bad advice to the fighters they represent if two British level fighters with no coin in it, both would of been told retire!
Duke McKenzie loves Joshua and hates Fury. If this fight gets made a lot of AJ fanboys could be ending up in A&E
That’s a lot of effort for a nonsensical post. Of course he should retire if he’s going to face anyone decent. But he’s not, he’s facing an equally shot fighter who has never been a puncher for an insane amount of money.
Was in work at 5am today, lad said watch this when you’re done. I have never spoken boxing or even knew he knows anything about about it. I didn’t watch it live and when you’re alarm goes off at 4 on a Sunday morning, the last thing you think of is a massively overrated boxer who’s stole a living. The face of disappointment the lad pulled as he told me to watch it suggests Joshua was cleaned out, a feeling only enhanced when I saw Joshua heavily dropped early. I was excited watching the humble one be dropped again and again….. again. The lad must not be a fan as well but I didn’t know it. Was gutted when what entailed happened. Joshua moved like a pensioner.
Chill out. You're talking like you know what's happening. None of us have the slightest clue what his family and friends are telling him. You believe what you believe but I believe a fight with Fury poses no danger for either man. But just like many others I don't care if the fight happens now.
I,d agree if he had any kind of real ambition left. But its pretty much Tyson Fury and out at this stage. Fury will be 38 in a fortnight. Never really been a puncher and is looking visibly slower etc himself.
