    1. Joshua is far past his best but so is Fury: Fury is 14 months older and his style is based on speed, movement and stamina, whereas power is the last attribute you lose and AJ is still a big puncher

    2. The fight is huge; the biggest in British boxing history, possibly the 3rd biggest money fight in boxing history, and the resolution of a bitter long-running "domestic rivalry" between two likely future HoF HW's, who shared the top 2 spots domestically for roughly a decade or more

    3. The scale of the event means that there is immense pressure, especially for Fury as he has more to lose if he's beaten by "stiff bodybuilder hypejob bum" AJ

    Fury's biggest wins are Wlad, Wilder 2 and Wilder 3, with the likes of Whyte, Chisora x3 and Cunningham some way behind.

    Historically, it will end up 1st for both. It will be the fight they are both remembered for in Britain. It will define the era. Usyk was number 1, who was Number 2. No cares in 10/20/30 years about primes. Doesnt matter what they have both done previously. Its a winner takes the legacy fight. If Fury loses, fluked vs Klitschko, Wilder was never any good and got banged out by AJ and thats why he ducked him for so long. If AJ loses then the benefits of all his losses, the Nigeria incident, the knockdowns vs Pringles the fight before showing how finished he is, there will already be excuses lined up that Fury beat a finished version of AJ.

    Fury needs it more for his Legacy. For AJ the excuses are already in place should he lose.

    Fury does not need it for his legacy, and the Prenga clown show further solidifies that. As it stands Fury is the clear No.2; he dethroned Wlad in the first place, is the only guy with a win over the "big three" pre-Usyk, and only lost to Usyk. AJ on the other hand needs it desperately because he is more defined by his many losses than his wins.

    Culturally, it could be Fury's biggest win. But in sporting terms, I don't think it is top 3. Ruiz, Usyk x2 and Dubois saw to that, and he almost got plastered in round 1 by a bum.

    Depends on how he wins I think. If he goes in there and takes AJ out early then most won't consider the win impressive because it would be evident that Joshua was way too far past his best to put up a good fight.

    If Joshua puts in a good effort and lasts the distance or is stopped late in a competitive fight then Fury will likely get more credit from fans.

    I'd put a win over Joshua as Fury's 3rd or 4th best win only because of name value. In truth I think Joshua in 2026 is probably worse than Whyte and Chisora were when Fury beat them. So really maybe 5th or so.

    And for this type of comment is why Fury needs this. If he was to lose to a guy that "nearly got plastered by a bum"... question marks about his legacy. For all we know, Wlad had a off night. Bailed on the rematch. Got banned for 2 years from the sport, Wilder wins have aged like dogwater. Chisora Whyte & Cunningham? Really? He became Champion in 2015... The best hes got to show for it is Wilder whos got his own question marks about how good he actually was.

    Nearly getting plastered by a bum is a excuse ready made. "Oh Fury only beat him cause he was washed, nearly got plastered by a bum the fight before, 2018 AJ burys him".

    You say he only lost to Usyk and AJ lost to Ruiz and Dubois, Fury hasnt even fought them to know how he would fair. But as his fans did before Usyk got his hands on him, they add the guy that beats AJ to his resume, "Fury would never lose to a middleweight". We found out he would. "Fury would never lose to a little fat Mexican". We will never know. Dubois would also run through Tyson Fury like a train.

    Short plodder Ruiz wanted nothing to do with Fury, he said he wanted 10 million to fight Wilder a few years ago. He destroyed prime 29 year old AJ and that's it, his next best win was scraping by 43+ year old Ortiz.

    Wlad got schooled over 12 rounds. If anyone got lucky it was AJ against the older version fighting away from home. 41 Wlad had him dead and let him off the hook.

    Dubois did to Joshua what Wilder would have always done, then AJ ducked a chance to avenge.

    From a sporting perspective, there is not much to be gained in beating a 4 times beaten AJ who almost got KO'd in 1 by an Albanian binman. Of course, the reverse is true for AJ, as Fury would be his best win by a distance, with the Wlad win being the only one in the same universe. It is more a money fight for Fury.

    I think it is top 4 no matter how Fury wins because Fury is also past it, it is a mega pressure event and AJ is still a dangerous puncher. Imagine Whyte or Chisora were badly hurt and put down twice in round 1, do they get rid of Prenga in round 2? I think those fights go several rounds.

    Wlad remains his best, followed by an unbeaten Wilder in his prime...

    So I'm gonna go with 3rd here. Even a shot AJ is better than the likes of Whyte and Chisora.

    At this point i dont think a win for either of them should rank anywhere. Its pretty much who,s got the most left regardless of who was better than the other.

    Joshuas missed a trick imo. Fury showed over his career he was the far better fighter. But that doesnt necessarily mean Joshua couldnt have beat him. The most likely outcome tho with what we seen over both careers was Fury outboxing him without much trouble.

    Now all we,re left with is Fury showed us hes the better fighter over the years without needing to actually prove it and at this point joshua only has a chance to win a fight that really bears no resembles to the winner when they we,re in better days.
