Errol Spence is now officially retired.

Do you think he did enough during his career to be admitted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame?

He probably will be, but should he be?

If Shawn Porter and Mikey Garcia can get in the HOF ballot then I can see Spence getting in as well. Inducted is another question. I personally think he falls short, but when it comes to the HOF where they just let in anyone I wouldn't be surprised if he gets in at some point.

I like him but for what??
Walking out of that kind of car wreak he had without any major bones broken is more impressive than anything he did in his career.

I choose to ignore the first ten years of his career. It makes me feel discerning.

Spence's career is unfairly reappraised because of how brutal that Crawford loss was. He was a unified 147 champion, beat D Garcia, Porter, and Brook, as well as Mikey Garcia, even though Garcia had zero business at that weight. They were all great wins. Not to mention him beating Brook in his own backyard in the UK.

He also defended his belts after that horror crash when he detached his retina, and headlined multiple stadium fights, which is rare for a US fighter. Keeping the sport relevant in the US post-Mayweather era was important too, he was always much more marketable than Crawford even though Crawford was the much better fighter. The bar should be higher for the HOF, really, but if Tim Bradley gets in then Errol gets in.

On merit, no. But with the ridiculously low standards of the Boxing HoF, he'll probably get in.

He'll get in. As mentioned others have made it who aren't as good as Spence.

Please, Mikey Garcia is a first ballot HOF. 4 division champion, two time lineal with wins over Adrien Broner, Orlando Salido, JuanMa Lopez, Roman Martinez, Robert Easter Jr., Jessie Vargas and Sergey Lipinets.

The people saying no are off their rocker. Spence has the following accolades

WW top 2 for 7 years and defended a strap 6 times in an "original 8" weight class. Not WBO only champ.
Beat 8 world champions and 5 of those(Brook, Lamont Peterson,Mikey Garcia,Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia) should be in the HOF.
His record at the world level is 13-2 and Crawford and Tszyu are both going to make the HOF.
2nd best WW in a very good era. Said era doesn't compare well to the prior 30 years but it was a good era.

Spence is a no brainer. If he fought in an earlier era less than 30 wins might have been an issue. In his era it won't be.

I feel a lot of people think champs who were overrated or didn't turn out to be the best fighter in the division shouldn't be in the HOF. Every era at a core weight class should produce between 3-7 HOFers. Ugas is the kinda fighter whose not a HOF. Not Errol Spence.
