A fun fight or a blow out? I think Shannon goes hell for leather like in the Lewis fight and might even stun Tyson before capitulating. For what its worth I'd see Tommy Morrison v Tyson 90s being the same. Its Tyson's chin not his skills that win him these fights. What say y'all..
Shannon thought he was getting this fight against Tyson in the Meadowlands in 2000 fwiw. I think the outcome of the Orlin Norris fight might've derailed things.
Would have been a great fight. I think That Tyson's defense would have been the difference, but Briggs always had that great chin. I wouldn't count Briggs out, but I reckon I lean towards Tyson. Edit: a less than peak Tyson loses imho.
The prime Tyson of 1990 would quite easily knock out any version of Briggs. However, regarding Tyson in '99 versus Briggs in '99, I think it could go either way—though I’d bet on "The Cannon." In the years that followed, Briggs's advantage would only grow and grow.
