Joe Louis vs. Moses Itauma, the theory of boxing evolution...

Itauma could be the real deal. But his chin and stamina are unknowns.

Let's assume Itauma becomes undisputed. In that case, yes, he could beat Louis especially as Louis never faced southpaws. However, even in this instance, Itauama would win not because of boxing "evolution" but because he is a left hander with amazing athleticism, speed and power.

As it stands now? Louis by ko. Louis punches straighter, faster and crisper. Louis actually has the better technique. So its not "evolution". Itauama has amazing athleticism, is bigger and is a southpaw.

 

I love Moses as a prospect and I think he will become Champion, but Joe Louis was the greatest heavyweight ever - resume - ability and power/combo - it's not to say JL couldn't lose to some of the other ATG's. but not an easy task for anyone.

In modern times = today - Usyk 6'2 220 is the greatest of the era (with only 25 fights)
Let's see how Moses advances beyond his 14 fights and hopefully builds momentum - then that type of speculation would be warranted.

 

Even if Itauma is as good as some people hope, Louis would take him on experience alone right now.

So how good is he.

Personally I have high hopes for him.

He even reminds me of Louis in some ways.

 

Let him have a couple more fights first.

 

No matter how great Louis was, if my life depended on it, I'd pick Moses every time, and I think if people are being honest they would agree, he doesn't see the second round if Moses doesn't him to IMO.
