Holmes had a decent right hand power.
He was not an ATG puncher.

Sugar Ray Robinson. He could box brilliantly if he wanted to.

Might Roy Jones Jnr sneak in as well?

I think people forget that prior to visiting G-Man in hospital, Roy had a wicked blend of speed, power and when the mood suited him, could end things when he wanted.

he wouldn't have been. he was an ATG because he was a B+ boxer but an A+ puncher; as a combo, that's pretty hard to deal with.

Hate to say it, but My favorite boxer of all time Hearns is a Joe Nobody without that rt hand power. The jab alone will not get it done with his stamina issues, shotty ring IQ, and had no legs at 160. Notice how I didnt even include maybe a chin issue? as that gets a bit overblown with Hearns. But the fact is, Tommy simply struggled against the bigger stronger fighters. He has no chance without his rt hand power as he moved up in weight. Hearns went up and down in weight , and up and down in weight for the majority of his career, no other fighter was doing that. . That takes a MASSIVE toll on the body, thats my take on it cslb. If anybody relied on their power in this sport, It was Hearns.

Jan once made an exceptional case for Liston. I agree wholeheartedly.

Very true. A lot of people focus on Liston's punching power and overlook how skilled a boxer he was.

His cat like speed would indeed have him in their. He didn't have to KO people to win easily. Have a look at what he did to James Toney. It wasn't reliant on power, he just boxed his ears off.
