Could Wilder chin Joshua now?

Both are Glass Jawed so they could KO each other. I will say Joshua has retained his savage power but Wilder seems to have greatly regressed in this respect.

 

I always favoured Joshua, like him or not, he seemed to always pursue the big fights, but I feel now it could very much come down to who lands first
Both can be positive and negative

Do you feel even if Wilders power has regressed that he could still hurt Joshua early based on how hurt Joshua looked last time out?

 

I am sure if Wilder so wished he could chin AJ, I am sure his power punch is still there, however for whatever reason he does not throw it as he once did, no good having a powerful hand cannon if you do not pull trigger.

So yes he could, but question is would he?

 

Wilder would have stopped AJ in their primes, and he'll stop him if they fought tomorrow.

And yes, I am completely aware of how washed Wilder is, but AJ is worse, and AJ has never reacted well to taking a punch. Wilder will always do his best to get back up.

On the flip side AJ could just as easily spark Wilder

 

Obviously theres still a good chance he could.

I think though Wilder has lost a lot of power but AJ's punch resistance has also taken a decline. AJ would have to get him out of there quickly and he defo could (like the Prenga fight where AJ decided attack was the best form of defence which it is).

I'd much rather see this fight than Joshua v Tiresome Fury. Both way past it but both still got power.

 

Wilder looked real powerful against Chisora. He’d had shoulder issues that have been fixed via surgery. He’d knocked Chisora out of the ring what 3x, knocked him across the ring a couple times from BLOCKED shots, scored KDs that were ruled slips, etc.

And he tanked shots from Chisora that would have flattened current AJ.

they fight now, Wilder is a heavy favorite imo.

 

I have always maintained that AJ would smash Wilder, but, lately Wilder has looked more impressive than AJ. Right now I kinda have an itch in my left foot telling me that Wilder would bring too much smoke for the somewhat shopworn and pedestrian version of AJ being wheeled about. Right now: Wilder by KO, early most likely.

 

Wilder would likely take A.J. out in the first round, A.J. is that shot, retaining basically no punch resistance.

Wilder went 10 Chisora, who usually gets lucky with a couple of hay makers every fight. Anybody think today's A.J. could make thru 10 rounds vs Del Boy? Add in Wilder made into th 5th round against Zhang, an actual live heavyweight.
