It is pretty insane how he is crowned as the face of American boxing, mostly by himself and his team, but still. He's at his physical peak at 29; he's fought 3 times in the last two years, and one of them was against Josh Padley, who was still working as an electrician when he got the call for the fight on 4 days' notice. Yet, Shakur sits about on Twitter and calls Sugar Ray Robinson a bum - he's an absolute clown.

The Zepeda win was not as good as they're making out here either. I do enjoy watching Zepeda; his output is so impressive, and I am a fan, but he went to war with Tevin Farmer twice and got dropped by him and nearly lost the first fight despite Farmer having a 26% KO ratio. Even in the second fight, where Zepeda deserved to win a good, competitive fight, and put in a better performance, Farmer got flattened by Floyd Schofield in about 90 seconds a few months later.

The blueprint was already there for Shakur. Let's not forget the De Los Santos fight either, as much as I would like to; it was quite easily the worst world title fight of the last decade, and it ended up being close on the cards because there was so little activity. I wouldn't pick Shakur to lose against any of the top names at lightweight/super light/welterweight, but the likes of Dalton Smith, Muratalla, and Keyshawn would show that he is nowhere near as good as some people would have you believe. I've seen people say he's better than Mayweather and Crawford; it's ridiculous. It shows how thin the sport is in the US at the moment, unfortunately.

Well, if the early cards are any indication, it would seem the judges are going to go with volume. Roach is landing the harder punches but Zepeda is busier.

Must be a bare bones production.

They just had Nico Walsh in two different shots after one another..... unless he has a twin.
