Two guys who would probably give Gassiev a run for his money if we're being honest. But yes he beat the **** out of those two. Those were one sided affairs. Btw did you know Adeleye has a 1st rd KO over a guy who beat Sirenko who in turn just brutally KO'd Wallin? That should put into perspective the level Gassiev is actually competing at nowadays.

He did not beat the **** out of them, they were competitive fights. And this guy beat that guy doesn't work. Styles make fights, and differnt fight, different nights. You know that Gasseiv was re-injured for that, because I have told you half a dozen times.

Jeez, if Gassiev was such a mark, you think Ituama would have come picked up his belt.

Triangle theory doesn't always work that's true. But it shows that Gassiev isn't anywhere the elite at HW. It sucks but he's not the same guy from the classic CW era that he played a big part in shaping.

He just had the belt handed to him. I'm rooting for Hrgovic to upset the Itauma applecart, but the reality is Itaumas handlers will be all over that should he pass that test. You know this, I know this and everyone else in this thread knows it. Stop it with this nonsense man. No one here dislikes Gassiev. We're just calling it how it is. To call his post CW career a disappointment is an understatement. He's very fortunate to have stumbled into owning one of the major HW titles. But right now it's just a total paper trinket title until Gassiev beats some legitimate or drops it to someone legitimate.

Gassiev is finally healthy and has made his opportunity by picking up that belt. We are going to see how elite he is or isn't. Fact is, the 45 year old Pulev he beat is better/has more left than anyone Ituama has beaten. Guy is 32 years old and healthy.

Can't disrespect anyone for taking the Pulev belt opportunity then signing on for Yoka to ease in after an injury layoff period. Seems pretty sensible positioning to me. And from here ... a HW belt unification fight is a HW belt unification fight.

Quite happy for Gassiev to be there as a seasoned opponent for highly ranked newcomers who are ranked more so on potential than actual top shelf wins to date.

The Gassiev slander is literally insanity

    “But he lost to Wallin!”

He’d blast Wallin as of today.

@UnleashtheFURY you have a strange way of coming across as a Gassiev fan :D

Of course he's had good luck to get the WBA title, we all know that.

But I don't think he's looked as bad at HW as you claim. He's 8 KO's from 8 wins..all over by the halfway mark, scored some nice knockouts. His performance against Kadiru was pretty good, his performances at HW overall have been just OK but decent.

I'm still optimistic he might get some top wins at HW. I'm not ruling that out at all ( like you are). I think he'd have a decent chance of beating Kabayel for example.

One question, say he scored a good win at HW against someone like a Miller, Suslenkov, Ajagba... would you finally shut up about the Wallin off-night and give him a bit of credit?

Gassiev's HW record is just incredibly thin. If he say beats just one of Itauma, Kabayel, Dubois - then fair play.

A lot of people are losing their **** over this not happening in the UK. Although if you guys remember, in 2021, they were gonna fight in Saudi Arabia. And people then didn't throw such a fuss. Especially since the fight actually mattered back then.

Honestly I think they'd make more money hosting it in the UK, as UK audiences won't bother staying up til 4am. Not sure how American market will respond but it will still sell at least.

Its a big risk moving it to America.

If Rahman is a monster favorite against Simms, and I expect him to be, put your dough on Simms

Rahman is far too shot here

Even if he wins, it won’t be easy

I think Simms is slick enough to beat him and it pains me to say it, but if Simms is +200 to +500, I’m staking him

You need to get a grip. People are allowed to have a low opinion on a fighter, especially the said fighter is the least deserving HW titlist in a decade (maybe even longer) without a single win over a top10, or even a top20 HW despite being a HW for 6 years.

If he fights and beats the winner of Itauma/Hrgovic next and people still refuse to give him credit, then you can label them haters. Right now, you Gassiev boys are the ones who deserve the label insane with your continuous bellyaching.
