Naoya Inoue not waiting on Bam before moving to 126; makes February 2027 deadline

i told you it was all public negotiating. they know how big this fight is. i think bam unifies and the inoue fight is announced for next may. i expect it to be settled before the end of the year, giving them time for a media build up. ill blow a load if we got lucky and the fight is held at the alamodome.

 

Yep agree with this. Bam has been fighting guys that have one foot in the grave and it is so obvious that he is trying to age out Inoue. At these lower weights it's not as hard to move up. He is already being rated as a P4P fighter so I don't wanna hear this BS about him not being ready. I would respect him more if he moves up and takes an L to a great fighter like Inoue instead of trying to protect his zero like a lot of his peers and if he some how wins he's on top of the world.

 

hes amending his previous stance because of the significance of the fight. bam losing to the monster will not end or stop his legacy. hes a fighter that performs at a level that maybe 5 men on earth are able to achieve. no matter how it goes, when all is said and done, bam will be historically remembered as the best fighter inoue ever fought. and vise versa.
i dont believe bam has peaked yet, as good as he already is. if he has hit his ceiling then he probably doesnt beat inoue. but now he has a chance to pick up some helpful tools that will help with inoue, and getting comfortable with them in a real fight.
im not convinced it will be in japan.

Inoue is one where you don't care where or who he boxes, just that he does.
