Rico Verhoeven and Alistair Overeem in talks for Boxing bout in Amsterdam

Overeem got no chance. He completely shot to pieces.

 

I dislike when fighters in their prime calls out fighters that’s retired, especially someone as shot as Overreem.

Uberreem was something special but the version after that got hurt by the wind blowing, plus as of late Overrem been on some health journey and lost a lot of weight and losing weight usually doesn’t help punch resistance either.

I know it’s a lot of money involved but I hope someone close to Overeem talk him out of it.

 

Rico can KO him within the first 3 rounds in Boxing. Alistair hasn't had a chin for near 15 years now.

Quite a mismatch to even have them fighting in anything.

 

How old is Overeem these days?

 

Overeem has no Chin. None.

 

Out of all the heavyweights from MMA, I would have loved to see Stippe Miochic make the transition to boxing as he had a pretty decent amateur background of being a golden gloves champion. Either him or Petr Yan in the lower weight classes.

 

Have you guys seen Overeem since he got of the juice? He's got no chance even if he goes back on juice. That body has taken a toll.

I think that if Francis wasn’t so hardheaded and untrainable it could have been fun to see what he could have done, especially if he took his time and went through the ranks instead of jumping ring into the deep end.

 

Pointless fight, Reem is beyond washed. Rico/Ngannou would be much better.

Yan has good boxing for an MMA guy but Stipe wasn't all that exceptional. JDS, Kharitanov, Aleks E, Gane, Arlovski, Aspinall etc had/have better hands than him as far as HWs go, there were plenty of guys that punched harder too like Ngannou, Lewis, Carwin, Hunt etc.
