Michael Zerafa's attempt to beat a 41 year old champion in Lara. The guy hadn't fought for 2 years or whatever it was taking stepping aside money. He was talking the talk and put up one of the most pathetic attempts I've ever seen at winning a world title. Scared, tense. Barely landed a punch in the round and a half it went. He had extra motivation for that fight and family in the crowd. Got planted by a one-two and knocked the **** out. I actually believed the bum would beat Lara. Zerafa was nothing more than a domestic fighter. He's a quitter. On the flip side we had Tszyu who got absolutely belted but he never gave up. He kept on getting up. He was just outclassed and lost to a supremely better man on the night in Bakhram. Tszyu actually fired and tried to box, exchange, he never fought timid. O'Campo got blitzed but like Tszyu he was just outclassed. Zerafa was like a boy against a man and froze like a deer in the head lights. How this putrid Muppet can sign a 3 fight contract after quitting yet again vs Nikita is a travesty. Nikita would have bludgeoned that bum in Zerafa. Like vs Lara he quit after two rounds. Zerafa was saying how well he did against Brook like losing was an achievement when in reality he got schooled on the Score cards. He's a flog of the highest order and he threw his manager/promoter under the bus in Sam La Bruna after he quit once more in chickening out of the Tszyu fight vs Tim. He told the media and every man and his dog tgat Sam La Bruna pulled him out of the fight. But it was a lie. As usual. That's two fights against both Tszyu boys where he ran for his life. Scum. Rant over. But I can't recall a more insipid attempt at not just a fight but a world title attempt if you can call it that in Zerafa vs Lara.
Furthermore he tried to pull out of the Isaac Hardman fight the night before it was supposed to go ahead. He pulled out of the Tim Tszyu fight with a week or less before the fight. Zerafa=Quitter. Not Michael Zerafa. Michael The Quitter.
Mayweather vs Pacquaio Millions of potential boxing fans were put off Boxing for life cause of that pathetic fight.
I remember watching live in a pub in Melbourne. There was **** all people there. He took an absolute dive and not one joker noticed, just me.
