Been a pro for 6 years and gone a total of 16 rounds. What a waste of time.

Parker and huni are quite a step. Why not advocate for somone like makhmudov or adeleye or someone on that level. There should be a few opponents that are financially doable. Even though I see that some of them will be more expensive than what teremoana can earn in tickets right now.

Problem really seems to be that if he makes a financial net loss on this fight and only has a 60% win chance than Hearn would never do it. And maybe he does the same computation with the ones that give him 6 rounds. A bit more expensive than the easy wins and makes teremoana look worse, hurting his earning potential. Ultimately give teremoana a contract for 6 fights or something then build him up with three fights and have him Fight in england like hrgovic is now. Maybe he has to be the bad guy

Witz this thinking boxing is half turning into wwe btw

    You could say he's been a Pro for 5 and a half years. 12(12) - 0.

2 years of that were in hiatus while he preparing and competing in the Olympics.

Dont know his story before the Olympics but he restarted his Professional career after '24 Paris. Since then he's had 8 fights.

Likely more by this years end. I think his career is coming along fairly well. With Hearns support it big plus for his career.

Teremoana is 28, will hit his HW physical prime in 4-6 years. He has 8-10 years to make a career for himself.

After his fight yesterday Eddie was saying he’ll be fighting on the AJ v Fury undercard. Hopefully this will mean he’s in with a better opponent.

On the big stage it will probably be an opponent to look good against.

    1. Look good to gain attention, making further fights economically more efficient.

    2. Don't risk the opposite in front of a big crowd.

    3. Get him used to a big big audience - already stressful, so no added challenge with a good opponent.

I mean its easy to look great fighting punch bags. He's been pro for nearly 6 years (yes I appreciate he went back to the amateur fold during this time) and he is an olympian to boot, there must be a reason his team dont have the confidence to up the standard of his opponents. He looks good, but the unexplained reasons makes me think something is a miss.

Eddie is using Teremoana for cashflow in his failing Australian sector of Matchroom, in Aus every fight is PPV so he will milk the Aussies for PPV slop against international journey men and retired rugby players.

Eddie hearn without his dead glass chinned golden goose in AJ is nothing more than a silver spoon daddies boy who built nothing.

I 100% agree from matchrooms perspective but I’m not sure Turki would fund a knock over opponent on such a huge card. I might well be wrong about that though.

He should be fighting guys on the level of Smakici or Makhmudov, but he's not even halfway there. Terrible matchmaking so far.

If Hearn thinks Teremoana can hang with Itauma, though, this is the step up he needs to take. It is a big one, especially given the level of the opponent's he has faced up to now, I agree, but they should have gradually stepped him up over the last 2/3 fights; Makhmudov or Adeleye should have been one of his last 2 or 3 opponents.

If he puts him in with Huni that does big numbers in Australia, and even if he lost, it isn't a loss, unless it's a KO loss, which I can't see. If Huni beats him or it's a close fight, these are the fights fans want to see. I'd be more impressed with Teremoana if he got outboxed by Huni for 8 rounds and then knocked him out, just like Wardley did, rather than knocking out dudes I've never heard of in 90 seconds every 3 months.

I think that'd be a great next fight. I also think Teremoana sparks Huni out. If he can't beat Huni, who is skilled, but chinny, and didn't look that impressive against Frazer Clarke, then he's not going to be anywhere near that elite level anyway.

That is a very good call - also nice because if he looks good, people start to compare his Performance with itauma's on their own and the demand for the fight Starts to rise

Maybe Dave Allen or Guido Vianello would be a good next step for Teremoana.
