Just because some fighters give it all in the ring and are willing to die doesnt mean they are good boxers. They are bums and tomato cans. The boxers themselves say the same ****! Get over it.
With comparisons yeah, but without reading what OP wrote. All these dudes are lions and I respect em all. Except for Danny Garcia and Tito low blow Trinidad.
Dadashev was no bum. While he had gas in the tank he was easily outboxing the somewhat crude Mattias from my view. Once he started slowing down, Mattias started catching up with body shots, and started wearing him down. Dadashev looked to be fairly skilled for only having 13 fights. He was clearly the more skilled between the two.
He's one of the lucky ones, with the decisions, the false hype but most of all the way he fought in the Thurman fight. Throw guy, throw!!!
I agree with you 100%. another thing I get sick of is people saying "oh that fight was rigged" or "he took a dive" thats BS too. Can't forget Magomed Abdulsalamov, he didn't die, but sustained the same injury as Dadashev and Stevenson, and is forever changed as a fighter. similar fight too with Perez, was very brutal.
The first I heard the cab driver was from Greg Haugen. He said something like most of JCC's wins were against cab drivers from Tijuana.
I agree. Boxers, MMA, K1, Shoot Boxing, etc are modern day gladiators. They go into the ring to fight for their lives every single time. Real Bums are the ones who types in the computer all day and calls fighters who lose BUMS. RIP Maxim.
I'm guilty of that . However that's gonna stop I'm not the one in the ring risking my life Respect to anyone who steps in the ring
If i were a mod, I'd give a temp ban to those who do this. There's no reason for this. Usually stems from immature fanboys who just hate particular fighters fort whatever reason they've concocted. I save my insults for the disrespectful douche posters....
Had to bump this after the tragic news about Colon. What he and his family had to go through for over a decade after that incident is unimaginable. Since this thread there's still been tragedies after tragedies every year. It's a brutal reminder just how dangerous, cruel and unforgiving this sport can be. No one should ever call any fighter no matter unskilled or low ranking a "bum" at all period. RIP Prichard Colon
Phrases like "journeyman" and "bum" are almost always used to describe fighters who clearly aren't "journeymen" or "bums". Actual "journeymen" and "bums" are not known to the fighting public. The current usage of these terms are such that fans can use them to describe any fighter with unavenged losses. A "journeyman" is a fighter with a record around .500 and a "bum" is a fighter with a losing record against sub regional competition. We're at a place where if someone like Spence loses to Terence Crawford he's Oscar from the movie Shark Tale.
