I hope Rolly Teo has had too many chances and chokes when the pressure is on Rolly is really funny and marketable
The two fighters are coming off opposite results, Romero's impressive win last year against a lackluster Garcia, while Lopez was dominated by Shakur Stevenson a few months ago, but I don't think that defeat left any traces on him, who has been fighting at the highest levels for years. Teofimo is more solid and has a higher workrate than Romero, who has significant defensive gaps and isn't difficult to hit, as was evident against the 40 years old Barroso, who certainly wasn't a speed expert and was winning the match against Rolly before a shameful stoppage by the referee. So, I'd say Teofimo by decision or late stoppage.
it depends on teofimo's mental state. he is a very good fighter. all the physical attributes you could want to compete at elite level. it seems as though the loss to shakur affected him. it's a coin flip for me. i like both fighters it has potential to be a banger of a fight.
Odd one to pick, have never been impressed by Rolly and am wondering how heavily to weigh his win over Garcia in evaluating him Teo is another tricky fighter to predict because he can look great one night and incompetent the next. He fights well as the underdog minus the Shakur performance where he really had nothing to offer. Shakur might very well be that good but I just expected Teo to do more and have more success than he did. I picked Shakur but was surprised at how easily he won. I can see a pose fest of a fight where each guy shows a ton of respect and the rounds are close. I kind of expect Teo to eek one out
I have this feeling that Rolly is much stronger then he looks and much smarter then given credit for. I think Teo is more skilled by one of Rollys strengths is he is so awkward its hard to do certain things with him. I don't know who wins but i really am looking forward to this fight.
i think teo takes it. they are both the type of fighter that given the right fight plan and preparation, they look great. but you ask them to adjust to a different strategy in the middle of a fight, and they are lost. neither adjusts well offensively or defensively, but teo has more natural ability. rolly is a big boy, but i think teo has the legs to not make his size much of an issue.
Rolly changed his style in the Garcia fight where he’s more patient which can benefit him against a counterpuncher in Teofimo. Also his power is no joke and will likely make Teo more cautious. I got rolly by UD but everytime I root against Teo he looks exceptional (barboza and taylor fights) and when I actually root for him, he looks awful (Ortiz and Shakur fights)
