Funny I was thinking in the Pacquiao-Marquez, serie which played in a very similar way.

I will never get tired of watching this. At 0:08 you can see Pacquiao's soul leaving his body.
At 0:15 Referee verifies Rigor Mortis is already setting in:

Does anyone even remember Azumah Nelson vs Jeff Fenech 3? Or Julio Cesar Chavez vs Frankie Randall 3?

Not sure if it was necessary seeing Miguel Canto fighting and beating Shoji Oguma 3x.

Also Jung Koo Chang fighting and beating German Torres 3x as well.

If you've already beaten a fighter 2-0 why fight the same guy a third time?

    Godfather III sucked.

Nobody wanted Jaws III, much less a fourth installment, but the latter gave us this all-time Michael Caine quote (they needed a name actor and he held out for a big salary, like $1M, which was a lot at the time):

“I have never seen the film, but by all accounts it was terrible. I have, however, seen the house it built, and it is terrific.”

He used the money to build his mum a house, haha.

Speak for yourself. I was hoping for the fourth bout. It may still happen some day, Lord willing.

I guess it had justifiable demand as at the time, presented as a rubber and likely deferred to rematch clause but if I’d been around at the time, I personally wouldn’t have been too fussed to see Patterson and Ingo go around for a 3rd time.

Especially with far better and otherwise, far more eligible challengers having been stonewalled.

When that little protracted dance of ineptitude reached its conclusion, Sonny Liston finally got the opp. to bring the true reality to the situation.
