It’s up to like 7 years and counting for this fight so I wouldn’t necessarily hold my breath.

If it gets signed, I’ll watch. If I was that disinterested I wouldn’t bother posting on the subject.

I love that this thread doesn't have 10 pages of comments already. Shows that people value this fight about as much as I do.

Isn't this a blockbuster fight in the UK anymore? Just on the face of it, from a financial perpective, it seems insane to have a HW match between the two most prominent UK fighters of the last 15 years, really since Lewis retired, fighting in the U.S. What gives?

I'm not excited and I will probably watch it. Are they making them go the full 12 rounds or is it 10? After all, it's not a title fight.

Netflix is coughing up the money for this one, and they want it in the US.

Repulsive. This infuriates me on behalf of all UK boxing fans. It should be in the UK.

I get the sentiment, but I wouldn't hold this against Netflix too much, because without them the fight would likely not happen at all.
Also, we know for a fact that the tickets would be insanely expensive, even in the UK. And if it were not for Netflix then this would be a PPV.

While as ridiculous as it is, for this fight to be in the US, I would say there are some silver linings to it.

    Hello, JesseT.

It seems that some sort of Ring Belt will be awarded to the winner: :campeon:

It will be, let Eddie do his dog and pony show for couple more days so he can say he fought tooth and nail.
