Should be interesting. Janibek hasn't been fully tested yet so Sheeraz would be a good jump in opposition. Curious to see how well he carries his power up to 168.

Still upset with the fact that we didn't get to see how Janibek would have looked against Erislandy Lara.

Many feel Sheeraz is going to vacate after seeing his most recent interviews. I got the impression he might too. He says that he and his team have been weighing all his options up and that they are going to come to a conclusion and see what's best for him. He even said that might see if they can arrange a unification bout which presumably would take precedence over a mandatory defence and I'm guessing that would be against Mung because I can't see them opting for Iglesias and Mbili is fighting Clenelo.

Sheeraz may well join Zuffa soon as he only has one fight remaining on his contract with Big Frank and Turki likes Sheeraz

Sheeraz broke his hand early vs Simon Zachenhuber. I'm not a fan of Simon Zachenhuber aka Bavaria's finest but we mustn't allow this revelation to detract from Simon Zachenhuber's performance vs Sheeraz because Simon Zachenhuber was a massive underdog and was supposed to be easy work for Sheeraz and another early KO win on Sheeraz's HL reel but Simon Zachenhuber waa anything but easy and Simon Zachenhuber surprised a lot of people with his performance that night and let's be real a one-handed Sheeraz would've still knocked the head of that delusional circus clown hype job glass-jawed bum Berlangy into the stratosphere and I got Simon Zachenhuber paddling the ass of that bum too

If Sheeraz does vacate he gets to not only avoid 2 very risky matchups in Janibek and Bank assuming he got past Janibek but surely the WBO would mandate Janibek vs Bank too albeit Pacheco is ranked above Bank.

Two of the most overrated fighters will finally duke it out to see who is less of a hype job.

Can everyone calm it down with the whole "Janibek is a drug cheat" schtick btw? He got popped for meldonium ffs. Do people know what the performance enhancing effects of meldonium are? Because the answer is diddly squat. It has a marginal benefit for recovery but roughly the same amount as plenty of other over-the-counter medications which aren't tested for. Meldonium being added to the VADA banned substance list was massively controversial at the time both because of how plenty of doctors argued it had ostensibly no performance enhancing effects for athletes and because its banning was politically motivated as a way to disqualify Russian and Central Eurasian athletes because meldonium is hugely popular in that part of the world and can linger in the system for months. I'm all in favour of testing boxers and athletes in all sports, but I do think it's a bit silly that everyone is making a big stink about a drug which has scarcely any benefits.

Janibek is kinda limited on the inside, and Sheeraz is kinda underrated in this domain. Also, I doubt Janibek´s power will carry up to 168, thus I expect him to win via decision.
Sheeraz can drag this into a phonebooth battle, and make it competitive, but I don´t see him winning this one.

Also, **** the WBO for this BS.

Must be nice getting a ban without any real repercussions

Jacob Bank deserves his Mandatory Shot, Hamzah Sheeraz deserves to defend against a clean athlete, and has been welcoming of defending against Bank who has earned his shot.

The roid cheat should serve his ban and then be made to work his way up at 168.

Being a “first-time offender, with an otherwise impeccable personal and professional record” does not earn you the right to leap-frog over the actual deserving contenders nor a Title Shot up a weight-class which you have never competed in.

The WBO is spouting absolute bull****. Terrible look for the sport, organization and unfair to every clean athlete involved.
