Well, what Satterfield could do, Foster could do better!?
I simply dont know. Valdes was not that good, but Foster failed against heaveweights.
    I sit this one out.

I think people are thinking of the young Foster who lost to Folley Terrell and Jones but the version that fought Ali was a much better fighter. He landed a lot of punches I think even cut him but could not hurt Ali who tried to humiliate him for it. Valdez would not have had nearly the weight advantage Ali had and Foster would have landed often and hard. He takes at least a decision.

Foster was the overall better fighter. But the guy had no success against heavyweights with the exception of a few tomato cans which Valdez wasn’t. I don’t trust Fosters chin against a respectable heavyweight

While Valdes lost to smaller light heavyweights such as 5"10 174 lb. Harold Johnson and dominated and beaten and dropped for a 9 count by 5"10 179lb Bob Satterfield and beaten by Archie Moore 175lbs X2 - Bob Foster was a big light heavyweight but never proved it against a real quality heavyweight.

Bob Satterfield power scaled really well at heavyweight and Moore as well to a lesser extent than Satterfield. But Satterfield, Moore and Johnson were all better at heavyweight than Foster.

I think Satterfield was lower in weight when he ko'd Clevland Big Cat Williams, but I know he hovered near 180 - I know Moore was heavier in his 2nd fight vs Valdes, but Harold Johnson was near 175lbs and 5"10 when he beat Valdes

Yes, your correct on Moore and Bob Satterfield - Harold Johnson was 176 lbs. when he beat Valdes - I knew he was near 175 - Bob Satterfield was 176 1/2 lbs. when he ko'd Big Cat Williams in 3
