Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather, Jr. -- Who wins and why?

I kind of use Marquez as a good measuring stick as how Mayweather would do. He is bigger,stronger, faster and much better defensively than Marquez. I think Paquiao can really bring it. But Mayweather when he is on, is tough to pick against. I think PBF could hit and hurt Pacman. I think Pac would definitely have his moments. But I like PBF by mid to late round stoppage.

 

8 years later, what would be this forum's consensus on who wins this bout had they met in 2008/09?

 

Floyds a helluva fighter. He's made some smart investments. And is a student of the game.

 

You can't make that fight happen then due to mayweathers inactivity. Hypothetically if Floyd was active in those years he'd win. He's just too smart and too slick.

 

What an intersting thread this is. Reading the opinions of people in 2008 was pretty remarkable. The excitement level was so high. It is just so wrong that this fight didn't happen for another seven years.
