OK, FOTC is clearly No.1, but for the other 9 spots, there are a lot of fights among the candidates.

My guess is that Leon's win won't make it into the Top 10, even though he actually ended Ali's run. We'll see.

    Number 2 would be Foreman-Frazier I
Number 3 would be Ali - Foreman.

Those 3 can be arranged in any order imo but FOTC, Jamaica, and Rumble would be my order for top 3.

I suppose it’s possible that Leon’s upset win over Ali might barely make the bottom of the top ten depending on one’s perspective. He did after all became the challenger to win the heavyweight title with the lowest number of bouts in history, albeit against an aged champion and one who’s efforts in that fight were questionable.

    1. FOTC
    2. Rumble in the Jungle
    3. Foreman vs. Frazier 1
    4. Thrilla in Manila
    Is this good for now?
I'm not sure those three fights can be ranked in any order, when FOTC is the most valuable win in HW history.

I'd put Norton's win over Ali at 4.

    1. Ali vs Frazier 1
    2. Ali vs Foreman
    3. Foreman vs Frazier 1
    4. Norton vs Ali 1
    5. Ali vs Frazier 3
    6. Ali vs Frazier 2
    7. Young vs Foreman
    8. Foreman vs Norton
    9. Ali vs Norton 2
    10. Holmes vs Norton

Thats a quick list I rattled off maybe it could use some tweaking here and there but it's just to get the convo going.

Spinks beating Ali definitely has a case for how much of an upset it was.

But Holmes vs Norton is considered one of the greatest fights of all time and Norton was in better form than Ali who was a long way past his prime.

So for me it's a must that Holmes vs Norton is included in the top 10.

It's my number one as well but it's certainly up for debate. I've seen all 3 ranked as the best wins in heavyweight history in various lists.

Foreman vs Lyle could certainly be up there as one of the most memorable, even if it wasn’t one of the “ best. “
