DAZN has really killed my enjoyment of boxing.

I just dont see how long term it is sustainable having the sport on an app where very few subscribe

The O2 arena - Select Tickets - Ticketing System https://share.google/MgJ0JO9HNYp3JNnqc

The Itauma card is hardly selling well either.

Considering he is literally the next hope it is not a great sign.

The sport being on some niche 3 rate app is bad for boxing

There’s zero build up either. Before you’d catch the weigh in or press conferences on Sky Sports News etc. There’d be lots of content on Sky to get you in the mood.

Not to mention the quality of the coverage is garbage. Constant buffering and other issues.

Had Liddard fight on, probably was ok as I couldn't find anything else I wanted to watch.

I fell asleep after the 1st round, woke up Liddard had won.

Turned tv off and went to sleep.

DAZN a gamechanger no doubt, slept like a baby.

Not the fan I used to be as knew when fights were on and a fair bit about all the fighters not just main event but on the card.

Now I have to remember to check boxrec and TV schedules to see when fights are on.

I think say a guy like Dalton Smith would of been a good sky fighter got the TV casual backing after Saturday night football and built himself a name, when I see Hearn saying......this kid (he's 30 feb) can be a household name.......he won't be outside Sheffield he has no profile.

Josh Kelly same, few British fighters bar Ituama if he carries on winning will draw the casuals.

No the adverts during the football etc.

It is totally killing the sport in my view

I’m from just outside Sheffield and it’s night and day between Kell Brook and Dalton Smith. People barely know Dalton is fighting. Wednesday fans are half-interested but most don’t actually watch, they’re just waiting for him to fight at Hillsborough. Compare it to Kell and during his fight weeks it’s all people would be talking about. You’d know dozens of people going as well.

I can remember Brook fighting a no-hoper (DeLuca) just before covid at the back end of his career and it sold 10k. Dalton hasn’t done a third of that so far but his fight with Puello may sell well now he’s world champion.

That's the main issue for me. Missed large chunks of events due to it and when you raise it with them they don't bother to reply. I have found that it's less of an issue if I watch on the pc but you expect to be able to use the bloody app on your TV! (And yes, it is a compatible one supposedly.)

DAZN quite simply has ruined Boxing as a fan spectacle.

It is akin to now being an underground sport.

I'm thankful that SKY at least have Zuffa, even though I'm not a fan of Zuffa, which is better than nowt.

This will be the end of ppv? How did that work out Eddie? He is only interested in himself, horrible silver spooned chancer

Ituama can certainly be built into a huge star despite the platform he is on.

Young exciting HW as LONG as he keeps winning in good fashion, suffers a shock defeat and the attraction around him will dissolve and fast.

DAZN is not a platform to build stars, it's ok for fighters who have made a name and are offered better money than on Sky for example but the audiences are not there, niche sport in need of exposure tucked away on a £200 a year app!

Not exactly a recipe for long term success.

This weekends Sky offering is a womens only card ffs.

Looks like they have sold about 1,000 tickets. A lot of the arena closed as well.

    What is the point
