It's an interesting one.. The fact that Kovalev didn't have a great left hook would hurt him here - and I think Griffin would have a very good chance of bamboozling Sergey with his style. Whether that would be enough for a win for Griffin I'm not sure, because Kovalev could overpower and break him down - but I think it would be very interesting in the first half at least.
Would not discount the possibility of the upset here. That and I never bought into all the Kovalev hype. He could be outsmarted here and drop a decision. Also like the Futch touch to probe holes in Kovalev. As a minimum, Kovalev does not look like the crusher in this. More likely is looking bad while getting the W.
He didn't look like a crusher against Isaac Chilemba - and only thing Isaac had on Griffin really was height. On the other hand that lack of height could be very problematic here against a guy with excellent jab.
I think Montell has his moments when he makes Kovalev looks bad but at tue end of the day, Kovalev will catch and Ko Montell.
