I would honestly love to see him defeat first Prates, Morales and then sailing to retirement. The superfight with Illia is honestly done, maybe a rematch with Tsarukyan? Really pity it didn't happen, felt like a missing page of UFC smh
Mackhachev only fights every 10 months or so. In the meantime Prates v Morales and then the winner faces Mackhachev.
If Paddy wins a belt at 155 in the next 18 months I guess they’ll try and persuade him to move up and challenge for the welterweight title. 2 of the biggest names in the company.
Prates absolutely deserves it, butchered two Former Champs back-to-back, both POTN with nasty finishes and is actually active, he’s earned his shot. Morales fought nearly a year ago, longer time off than even the champ, you have to actually fight to earn a title shot in a division stacked with contenders, even the guy he beat has fought and won since that fight Tsarukyan has stated he has no interest in moving up and would instead be open to moving down if given the title opportunity against Volk, and he’s a lock for the LW shot after this Ruffy fight anyway There’s only one #1 Contender and his name is Carlos Prates.
Prates seems confirmed, I would love then Morales which stylistically might be the most dangerous match-up.
