He got stopped by a guy who made his face look like mince meat. He could have been winning all the rounds, still got whooped. Like Vitali against Lewis.

 

I really do think Moses Itauma might be the most skilled heavyweight prospect I've ever seen. He's incredibly fast, has an excellent boxing foundation, fights as a southpaw, and has a good jab, brutal combinations, excellent footwork, great reflexes, a strong sense of distance, effective feints, solid defense- in short, everything you would expect from an all-time great.

Technically, I think he's already better than Ali in almost every aspect, with the possible exception of his chin, which is still unproven. And it might remain unproven for a long time because I can see him stopping most heavyweights today within a few rounds before they have a chance to take him into deep waters.

I even think he's technically better than Joe Louis. Yes, I know what you're going to say: He's unproven. He hasn't fought anyone with a real résumé. He'll get exposed the moment he faces a legitimate contender. But people said similar things about Ali and virtually every other heavyweight prospect before they became great.

The more I watch Itauma's fights, the more convinced I become that he's the real deal. I genuinely think he has the potential to surpass Ali, Louis, and Lewis. The Moses Itauma era could end up being a very long and dominant one.

 

I'm prone to panic attacks, I hope I don't experience one after the first bell...
