That was a really solid fight I personally agreed with a draw. If Mahoney knicked it. I'd have thought that would be fine.

Run it back I am not a strong supporter of either. I'm glad they didn't give that to Nikita because he for sure did not win that.

He's been pro Nikita all week from what I've seen. It was a super competitive fight.

You were most definitely biased not maybe. Literally no one else had it that wide for Mahoney. Most had it very close. I watched from round 5 onwards and Tszyu won at least 3-4 rounds from that point onward. You can't go around calling others biased when you score wide for the guy you were pulling for in a close fight. Mahoney did some good work but I think too much shoe shining and that didn't do him many many favors and Tszyu pressured more and invested in the body heavily as the fight went on. This one should definitely be run back.

Mahoney won 4 of the first 5 pretty clearly. Then you give Nikita 3 or 4 of the remaining 7. Ben either wins by 115-113 or 116-112. I said 116-112 was feasible.

I saw from round 4 and then a phone call unfocused my attention for 3 rounds but it seemed really close. Imagine hosting your fight in Surfers against a local dude and insulting a booing crowd who thinks the local lad got jobbed? What a ****head!

Agreed. There were two different boxing styles though and similar punch stats. It's a case of subjectivity. I preferred Nikita's effective punches and forward aggressive gameplan. But not upset either way.

Blessing for Nikita, he's not world ready yet. Mahoney isn't losing anything after that show either.

You scored it 118-110 not 116-112. From what I saw in the last 7 rounds and from what the majority of the RBR was saying about the fight in its totality a draw wasn't an egregious result. It will benefit both anyways since they'll get another big payday before moving on to the world stage.

Where was Tim? I read some headline about him making a weird instagram post and about the family feud.

And once again Nikita honesty commendable. No fighter says after a draw they think they lost. Nikita's all class.
