    Hello, Perkin Warbeck.

I think at least some of that weigh in was staged, although the push was probably harder than planned.

Fight of the summer imo, fan of both but I want to see how far Itauma can go.

I feel like it's going to be a matter of how long Hrgovic can last personally. Not a Brit, but becoming an Itauma fan, he's an impressive young bloke.

This would usually be my line of thinking.

As for the OP, Itauma because he's English.

Don't get me wrong - Hrgović is a solid step up, but he isn't the monumental hurdle some are making him out to be. He has clear holes in his game, stands too tall, and can be worn down under heavy pressure. If Itauma is truly elite, this is a fight he should control comfortably.

That said, we’ve been burned by domestic hype trains before. Look at Anthony Joshua - massive commercial success, but always trailed by questions about his durability and whether the hype outpaced the reality.

The last thing the division needs is another heavily marketed prospect who struggles the second they face top-tier adversity. I hope we'll find out tonight if Itauma's durability and punch resistance can truly match his incredible offensive skills.

    Itauma

Hrgovic is a stiff euro, certain types just get carried away because they see a big tall white guy with an eastern European sounding name who looks hard.

We know what Hrgovic is and more importantly what he isn't, if he wins it just tells us Itauma was a hype job.

Heavyweight boxing could do with Itauma being the goods, a blitzing ko artist at the highest level to carry the sport towards the next decade.

Usyk has basically retired now so certain types dont need to worry, Itauma isn't a threat to him, relax.

Itauma for sure. Simply because unlike the 34 year old Hrgovic whose book is basically closed, Itauma has all the time in the world to fulfil his potential. He's also just the much more exciting fighter to watch. Hrgovic is just plodding 1-2 merchant with a leaky defence.

Also lol at people rooting for Hrgovic just due to Itauma pushing him. Most of this forum adores Beterbiev and he's buddy buddy with the biggest dictator in all of Russia. That's much worse than a half assed push that resulted from weeks of frustration due to Hrgovic talking hard **** about him. He literally called him a microphone the other day

Don't care too much but voted Itauma.
Hrgovic is good but not elite. And, now that Usyk goes out of the scene, I want HW division to have at least one elite fighter. Current heavyweight scene is the weakest I've seen in many years.

    Not rooting for either
Respect both men for what they are doing, but favour Hrgovic

I have a feeling Hrgovic will win inside the distance

In the UK the HW scene is very tough, especially when campaigning for the British title at the weight
That can be a make or break fight
Just look at the level of some of those bouts with fighters that are still active

    Fury vs Chisora
    Joshua vs Whyte
    Dubois vs Gorman
    Dubois vs Joyce
    Wardley vs Adeleye
    Wardley vs Clarke

Sometimes though UK based HWs tend to go down the international route a bit more where they are good promising HWs but get stepped up a bit too soon, where they often do themselves proud but haven't had the tough British title route that as said seems like it can make or break

Itauma seems to be going down the international route

    Itauma.

Who would want some stiff right hand spamming no defense euro over a young fast, good footwork up and comer who could inject some excitement into the division?

Those Who voted Hrgovic are not boxing fans let’s be real here. Hrgovic should be giving Zhang a rematch who spanked him and made him turn his back on several occasions

the main thing Hrgovic has got is his chin. Outside that’s it 1-2 spam

Rooting for Hrgovic just because sometimes it's fun to see the underdog win and shithousery unfold when someone is as hyped as Itauma.

That being said, I've got Itauma winning by TKO round 6

A stiff euro that was never stopped. Lost only once against a cheating Dubois. One of the Klitschko sparred Hrgovic and said he was very good
