hopefully itauma doesnt have a brain bleed, hrgovic was hitting him so hard most of the fight and on the ropes at the end were sledgehammer shots

Naz looks so stupid after his pre-fight hyping of Moses. Moses is obviously a superb talent and it's crazy how he's 6'4.5" and thickset like he's 5'10" and his speed especially for his size is freakish but you can't proclaim someone the future GOAT or the best HW on the planet when that haven't proven anything yet, no matter how talented they are or how impressive they look.

I'm not ready to give up on Itauma and start calling him an overrated hypejob.

Yes he was a bit overhyped but he can still learn and regain from this loss and people are too quick to put fighters down after a loss.

People are forgetting the likes of Wladimir Klitschko had a very similar experience early in his career against Ross Puritty gassing in the later rounds and getting stopped.

And look at the career Wladimir ended up having.

Now I'm not claiming Itauma will be become a great like Wladimir did.

But the positives are Itauma showed good skills and was a mile ahead on points vs Hrgovic and it wasn't his chin that let him down. It was his inexperience in the later rounds and simply punching himself out.

It's a tough loss for Itauma but it's a loss he can regain from if he's willing to put the work in.

World title fight and never gone beyond 6 rounds

Never of happened in the 70s 80s maybe even the 90s

I will be corrected but shows how shite a world title bout is , if boxers never been more tha 6 rounds before

I have a feeling that Itauma wanted to make a statement - go for an early fight blast out - and he shot his load and Hrgovic took advantage of that depleted gas tank.

They tried to move Moses quicker than even Tyson. Mike had 28 fights before he fought for the title, Moses fought bums and then stepped into fight a top HW in his prime. He needed another 6 fights with durable opponents to work on his pacing over the distance.

He’s ironically impressed me more in defeat than he ever has in victory. He has a very bright future

Exactly. They thought he was the second coming of Iron Mike, but instead he left on a stretcher like a Rubber Duck. Shameful for Team itauma.

Yes. Even tho it was sporadic, you could see some grimaces of tiredness and discomfort when Hrgo got his jab going in those rounds - those small successes were important I think. Maybe Itauma started to worry he could last all 12 and decided to try and close it in the 8th? Either way it was the wrong call
