At first I was shocked and thought it was purely a gassing out issue. He went from 50% to 0% in a matter of seconds. He was clearly tired early on but he completely went there On closer look on those last rounds, there is clearly something up with his legs. Itauma is doing a pretty good job at not getting hit by Hrgovic, and is all over the place despite not getting really cleanly hit. He could barely stand and was barely getting hit clean Really disappointing , he was pasting Hrgvoic for most of it. Very unlucky imo, something quite clearly up with his leg. Watch the last two rounds back
I swear no other fanbase is as embarrassing and delusional when it comes to post fight coping as the British. Another glass jawed hype job from across the pond was exposed again. Get used to it, it happens every single time you have a fighter that is hyped to death.
I know a build up of lactic acid when I see it, he was gone, that wasn’t a leg injury balance, that was too much lactic acid. A leg injury didn’t have him swinging in slow motion out of desperation, that was exhaustion
I’ve seen tired and exhausted fighters. He was stumbling all over the place despite not actually being properly hit and was stillll throwing punches
So... leg injuries turn you into a shitfaced drunk swaying to and fro? With an even deader look his eyes than usual. Yeah... bull****! Just post fight spin from Fish Eyes.
He barely got hit by Hrgovic and went from tired to completely gone in the space of a few seconds looked like he couldn’t set his feet solid on the ground with knees locked
Watch David Haye with a snapped Achilles, his punches didn’t change in speed or power. Itauma was exhausted, that balance was because his legs had gone stiff, obvious tell was the swaying of the upper body, anyone who’s been out on their feet like that know the exact stuck in the mud feeling that Itauma was feeling. He was completely spent.
You're deluding yourself. Filip was teeing off for the entirety of the 9th and was landing flush, aplenty.
It could be that but how on earth can a 21 year old gas out so badly? Apart from Wlad I can't recall seeing someone so gassed out and completely done. Wlad managed to come back from that though so It can be solved. Moses seems the lazy type though and not a dedicated machine like Wlad was.
Even if there is, you would need to factor in Hrgovic remaining unmoved and putting the necessary pressure on to create the potential for the leg to give out. The only credit Bellew got for defeating Haye was that he stayed in there long enough for the ankle to go. Haye was compromised from the first round, everybody knew it and his bizarre wide *** stance made it obvious. So he got less credit for sticking it out that long, Itauma looked fantastic and firing on all cylinders from round 1 so the leg would likely have only gone under duress from Hrgovic as the fire heated up the last few rounds. He looked vulnerable and rattled increasingly as the fight went deeper before he turned to spaghetti for the last thirty seconds.
