    He's not wrong, besides surviving, there's nothing Hrgovic did in that fight that impacted it.

    Hrgovic was chasing a shadow until Itauma gassed.

    Hrgovic made that assessment himself.

    Absolutely, although in Filip's defense Dirty Daniel headbutted him senseless. But certainly, without the dirty tactics, Filip would've probably beaten him. But not with the same ease as Usyk did. So Usyk's stock again... skyrockets.:D

    Yes, that's called a strategy, as I mentioned before in the RBR. If you don't have a gas tank to compete for 12 rounds, that's on you! Sanchez and Hrgovic assumed as much, it was always their plan, even discussing it in the corner. You can win every round, but if you get KTFO in the last second of the 12th. YOU ****ING LOSE!

    You're suggesting Hrgovic "Chose" to do this?

    That's ridiculous. He was forced into it, because as Hrgovic himself said, Itauma was too skilled for him.

    Hrgovic only wins, if Itauma gasses himself out seeking a KO. That is not a "Strategy".

    Myself getting in the ring with Usyk and praying he has a Heart Attack, as its the only way I can win, is not a "Strategy".

    I’m no expert in world-level boxers’ preparation, but isn’t this absolutely insane for a world level fighter to have literally never experienced what it’s like to reach the 12th round?

    What the hell has Davison even been doing in camp with him?

    Dragging a young inexperienced fighter into the late rounds and drowning him has been a strategy in boxing since its existence.

    That’s how veteran boxers test young fighters. They make them go into the championship rounds and test their stamina and heart.

    He also said he knew Ituama was going to gas since the 1st round. Or do only the parts you like of what he said matter? lol

    Yes, it's called playing the long game!!!!!!! It been a strategy for many fighters, going back decades. Plenty of swarmers and pressure fighters give up multiple early rounds, because they know in the second half, the non stop pressure will pay dividends. I picked Hrgovic by KO, fully hoping he'd employ this strategy because I assumed it would be successful. What? Did you just start watching boxing last week?:lol:

    That's a risk you have to take now isn't it? Or... maybe Itauma would've gassed out in the 10th and got stopped in the 11th.

    I hate that Inoue and Usyk are getting old. It feels like yesterday they were the next generation (even though Usyk started old). While everyone hated on the 2015-2019 era, it was actually absolutely stacked.
