It was only stamina. Had he approached it like a boxer and tried to just nick every round with as little activity as possible, he would probably have won. A few flashy moves here and there and home advantage and bingo. I'm glad he didn't. Memorable fight this was. Wonder whether he will switch to a points mentality with occasional outbursts? Also i think nervousness cost him a lot of energy, hrgovic did well with the build up. In the end his circulation could not keep up. Needs more vo2max. The only other fighter I saw in a similar situation was chisora in his recent fights who always seemed on the edge like that
Its not the worst comparison IMO. Price hit harder but Itauma is quicker and is a better combo fighter. Itauma would have knocked Price out and early.
Price was the very definition of a glass cannon, at a certain level that's devastation everywhere but you'll run into someone who will take it and give it back eventually. He went all in for a few rounds in the Thompson rematch and was an admirable effort but that's all he had in him, just turned into complete rubber once he'd burned all his energy up.
