Yes, as were Hrgovic's mind games and the seeds of doubt he planted in Moses' head re. being able to take everything Moses could dish out and take him into deep waters and drown him. Moses knew how tough Hrgovic was and when he hit him with his best shots again and again and Hrgovic was still there the realization he was in deep poop dawned on him and it was getting deeper and deeper. Applying pressure when Moses tried to take those breaks was crucial

Hrgovic was having more success when Itauma threw less punches and slowed the tempo down. It would've been closer on the scorecards and Itauma would still have gone into the 2nd half of the fight unsure about his gas tank, so probably not.

Itauma needed more rounds against tougher opposition before fighting for a world title, he's got time on his side but he needs a new trainer to take him to the next level: Ben Davison is not that guy.

De La Hoya shouldn't have ran for 4 rounds.

    Itauma should have.

    Moses' Two Commandments:

    1. Thou shalt not anger me with bitter words and hurtful sayings prior to the combat

    2. Thou shalt not take me past the round of eight (for verily I will fookin' gas out)

Itauma seemed to have some nervous energy at the start of the fight, which is obvious with the occasion and the step up in class, that added to his high pace sucked out his cardio.

Experience won Hrgovic the fight and his iron chin of course. Itauma needs the rounds the step up was to much from Franklin to Hrgovic.

Im noticing everyone saying he couldnt?

The force he was putting into his punches and explosive combinations are extremely draining for any fighter

Same thing happened to David Haye in his early fight against Carl Thompson
Haye had Thompson all over the place and was throwing absolute bombs at an incredible Ituama type pace and eventually gassed and got stopped

Its a weird one though 99 percent of active heavyweights would have been el sparkod inside two rounds had they took that punishment

Butterbean used to be the 4-round heavyweight champ.

    Had a belt and everything.

They should bring that title back for Iguana.

He knew he was almost done. That was a final rolling of the dice to get Hrgovic out of there before he totally knackered. It very likely would have only prolonged the inevitable.

I reckon if the Atlanta Falcons didn't choke away a 25 point lead vs New England in The 2017 Superbowl they would have won.
