Why is Moses written off so suddenly when Wlad was knocked sparko by three mediocre fighters?
Wlad is loved by half this forum, so as far as I can see Itauma could get Ko’d at least twice more in embarrassing fashion and still be an ATG.

Wladimir's first loss was against Ross Puritty aswell who was not even a top 10 ranked Heavyweight he was just a durable journeyman.

Wladimir also had way more amateur experience than Itauma with 134 amateur fights and winning an Olympic gold medal.

Not to mention Wladimir had 24 professional fights when he lost to Puritty. Compared to 14 professional fights for Itauma when he lost to a legit top 10 ranked Heavyweight in Hrgovic.

It's because fans are too fickle and write fighters off too quickly when they suffer their first loss.

The modern era of boxing is too obsessed with undefeated records. And don't realize most past ATGs had multiple losses and that's because they fought more often took more risks.

Itauma took a risk he failed but he still showed alot of promise winning near enough every round against a legit top 10 ranked Heavyweight.

Itauma can definitely regain from this if he puts the work in he's only 21 years old.

To be fair Klitschko was getting written off just the same back then, I think he is a testament that Itauma, with his age and with the right trainer can make some adjustments and come again.

Yeah I made a thread recently with the same point, Mike Tyson lost quite a few fights, including to Buster Douglas (who is a level below Hrgovic) when already a champion and 2 years older than Itauma and in his alleged physical prime, and Tyson is still rightfully considered an ATG.

It's partly the fault of the hype machine, but mostly people are just too quick to write off young fighters.

Not everyone's writing him off. Just that he Was an overrated hype job and showed it on the weekend. That could change. Until proven otherwise, the point stands.

People forget Moses is 21 years old. Extremely talented and he answered a lot of questions on Saturday. Has a big heart and a good chin. He'll be aight. Losses don't define a fighter. He can always come back. Just like Wlad did.

Mob mentality. Hatred. People really want the guy to fail. It's kind of sad. They are frothing at the mouth.

A lot of people throw **** at the wall every single time calling fighters they don't like for some reason hype jobs. They quietly just move on every time it doesn't pan out how they want it, but when the **** they throw finally sticks in some way, they are elated.

    It's just sad behavior.

Also, typical loser mentality. Your life sucks, so you find a little solace in bringing down someone more talented than you who slipped in life. Makes you feel a little bit better about yourself for the moment. But it doesn't change the fact that you're still a loser and you know it when you go to sleep and close your eyes.

Yes, some people are too crazy about trashing Itauma, and I think if he doesn't pull an Anderson, he can become the future.

But there is something fun about rooting for an underdog, providing a reason why the person he's fighting is overrated because of X, Y, and Z, and then seeing the underdog win.

Upsets are good for boxing. It ain't that deep, I'm sorry.

Wlad won 22 fights in a row after rebuilding from the bottom up. There are no Manny Stewards out there to help Moses. He’s got awful stamina and a weak Chin. Do you really think Moses is going to win his next 5 fights much less 22 of them?

The level of trashing of Moses has been quite distasteful and sad to see.

So many people full of hatred. It runs deep in their veins.

I dont think its hatred towards Moses. Or being sad or spiteful people. Its more a normal reaction to the medias building up of him and the favouritism the A side gets.

You cant really have it both ways....you cant tell the world this kids the best before hes proven it....which is part of your promotion of him without gaining the annoyance which comes with it.

If Moses didnt get any promotion and he turned up and put that performance on on Saturday night even in defeat most people would probably say what a fighter this kid is at 21. As soon as you start making big claims before backing it up tho....you will create a lot of negativity. Just part of the game.
