If Moses had not fought at the pace he did and been less offensive Hrgovic would've been able to be more offensive and land a lot more shots himself. Moses was able to handcuff him for large spells with his speed and by constantly throwing power shots but that takes a toll on you if you're a 240-250lb HW who fights like a fighter from the lower weights.

Moses can train as hard as he likes but he simply cannot sustain that pace for 12 rounds and it will be much harder to do so if he's actually getting hit hard and often himself, or even just more often than he was, especially by a massive puncher. We've already seen him blowing after a round or two numerous times now imagine he's fighting at that pace whilst getting cracked hard and often upstairs and downstairs by one of the division's biggest punchers? He looked noticeably uncomfortable when Hrgovic did land clean even in thee earlier rounds

He could've taken rounds off and tried to box more but, as said, that would've given Hrgovic more opportunities to land with his own shots and hurt him

Chincheckers are idiots. Itauma's chin which is average at worst isn't even top5 of his problems.

There were only 17 days between them two fights. The Mitch Green and James Tillis fights. Tyson had something like 4 fights in two months including them two.

The kid was probably starting to tire out. Give him 3 or 4 months break between fights like they do nowadays he,d have probably stopped them both.

Hilarious isn’t it. :D Lol The reaching, the desperation, spinning any narrative they can find. I’ve been saying since 2023 that Filip was all wrong for that hype job and by the 4th round… Knew it was a matter of time. I was mainly worried about cuts!

Also they can spin it (Try to) any way they want… but itauma was NOT staggering around like a drunk UNTIL those right hands from Filip started landing. That follow up straight left on the ropes was nasty too. It’s obvious those beat the rest of the fight out of hype job. Soooo enjoyable to watch :) Will actually watch those last two rounds again over breakfast

All the different reasonings behind it....yet the biggest one is...even the very best of them had many more proper learning fights....and much better preparation for a fighter like Hrgovic than Moses had.

Even Mike Tyson had the necessary fights to prepare him for Berbick. They,ve tried to do something that not even the very best done and fell short. The very best had to do it because its pretty essential.

'complete natural conclusion'. Are you a complete casual or what is going on? When someone is swaying around the ring like this, obviously not in control of his body anymore, you take him out of the fight. Both as a ref and cornerman! And in this case both the corner has a history of letting it go too far (wardley) and foster is also known to keep british fighters in the fight for longer than appropriate, letting them take unneccessary punishment.

For all those perverts that want to see someone slaughtered in the ring there is still Morrison Mercer. And that should never have happened.

I don't think many folks - bar the obvious few that overegg that area naturally - think that Itauma has a glass chin perse; but that doesn't mean he doesn't have issues getting tagged.

I think he passed the chin-check in terms of taking shuts and not getting gunshy - e.g. like AJ. But he also has little poker-face on whether getting tag causes discomfort / panic, and has a tendency to want to fire back / trad with a reckless abandon, rather than getting back to the gameplan (if there was one outside if 'blow this foo away').

I think a lot of his tells when Hrgo was getting success with jabs etc gave Hrgo much more confidence that he would have opportunties later in the fight, and Itauma's mid-rounds windmilling in places where he lost his shape, and threw out overbalanced 'all in' counters - in response to be tagged mostly, would have given Filip even more encouragement IMO.

Not a glass-chin, but he needs to accept that he WILL be tagged and learn how to deal with it better. Plan A: Avoid getting hit > Plan B: When hit react without tells and adjust defense / openings to get back to Plan A: etc etc

Sanchez is simply showing respect here, however Sanchez got his tactics and there game plan spot on,there plan was always to weather the storm whilst putting the pressure on by any means necessary and then to drown a gassed Itauma in the later rounds with Hrgovic upping his actual work rate and let’s be honest we all knew this was the way for Hrgovic to get the win (well apart from Ben Davison that is). In that final 9th round Hrgovic was without a doubt landing some decent head shots but the body shots he was landing were brutal,no wonder Itauma left the ring on a stretcher !

^ This. Also, notice that whenever Itauma wanted to take a bit of a break, Hrgovic didn't let him. He pressed him and made him work. Another aspect of all this is the amount of nervous energy that Itauma had. I believe that this in part was due to Hrgovic getting under his skin in the build up. Itauma was pissed and angry and this made him burn through his stamina faster.

Abel Sanchez always trying to say something different to sound smart.

It was a combination of both fatigue and the shots. Pretty simple to see.

He's a quitter. That's what Abel was saying.

He has the talent, but he quit.

He tried what he normally does. It didn't work. So he quit. He was carried out of the ring. Put in an ambulance. Taken to the hospital. And was very quickly released, because there was nothing wrong with him.

He's a 21-year-old pro athlete. He knows boxing is an endurance sport. Yet, he doesn't train for it. Not training properly provides an excuse to quit.

He's not an old man who boxes part time.

There's no excuse for not training. Saying "I'll train harder next time, but carry me out of the ring, because I'm so tired," is a joke.

Moses and his team should be embarrassed, and his fans shouldn't just accept it because he was leading after eight rounds.

There are no scheduled eight-rounders at the top.

And now everyone knows he's a quitter. What's going to happen when he breaks his hand in fight? He'll quit. What happens when he gets a bad cut? He'll quit. What happens when he breaks a jaw or his eye swells shut? He'll quit.

Quitters quit. If you quit at 21 and get carried out of the ring with no injuries ... you're a quitter.

    Simple as that.

Moses was exposed. Being the "king of the eight-rounders" only gets you so far, like being the "king of the four-rounders" only got Butterbean so far.

You quit once, it's really easy to do it again.

If he can't suck it up with an 8-0 lead, at 21, he sure as hell isn't going to suck it up when it's a close fight and he's actually injured.

    He was exposed.

Anyone think he's going to enter the ring in "better" shape next time? Hell no. Expect a 260-pound Moses vs a guy who goes down a lot.

Because his team knows Moses is a quitter, too. That's why they never pushed him to spar 12 or 15 or 20 rounds at a time with different sparring partners.

He's a quitter. Now we all know what he is.
