Moses itauma was schooling hrgovic we need a REMATCH NOW

They can't have an immediate rematch. Sanchez is next in line, already took stepaside to allow this fight to take place and Hrgovic wants unification. Itauma has to go back to the drawing board and try to rebuild.

Agreed. Hrgovic was purposely pacing himself. The second Itauma took his foot of the gas pedal Hrgovic would begin to open up on him. And was effective when doing so. Had Itauma fought at a measured pace Hrgovic would have asserted himself more.

Also I didn't see Itauma fighting super effectively for extended periods off the back foot. I meaning he can box in spurts but getting on his bicycle for 12 rounds isn't something I've seen him do yet...

 

Hrgovic looked like a deer in headlights in first 7 rounds. He is so ****in slow.

He DID look like a rabbit in the headlights round 1 and 2, but NO ONE has looked decent against Itauma round 1 and 2 due the the blistering pace he starts at. But Filip steadied himself in round 3 - which I think he actually had an argument of stealing; his jab was landing, Moses was missing more and showing small signs of discomfort at Hrgo's pressure - similar in round 5. There was a steady increase in Filips workrate from round 3 onwards, and from 5 he was asserting himself in the last 45-60 seconds of each round pushing Moses hard before the breaks. His judging of distance was really good, and whilst he was initially cautious of the speed and counters, once he realised the power wasn't as big as the speed he started walking through them a bit more as well to force the pace and land his own shots.

 

That's what I saw as well.

Hrgovic made some adjustments in round 3 and got used to the speed that the punches were coming at him. He actually landed a good shot on Itauma in round 3 that had him wincing. He got better as the fight went along.

Heavyweights are not used to the handspeed that Itauma presents. If I were Itauma's next opponent, I would start recruiting cruiserweights like Jai Opetaia to be my sparring partner. Get used to the handspeed and start finding a way to fight back.

 

Itauma needs a confidence bout next.
I suggest Mark De Mori. He's available and cheap.

I don't think an immediate rematch is a smart thing here. A couple of fights, some rebuilding and he might be ready to try again.
