I still say peoples hate for Davidson is clouding their judgement regarding the roll the dice and Shane Mcguigans comments.

Dubois was winning the battle of the jab and was beating him down. Joshua had been down three times and was in danger of being blown out of there. He was getting a hammering. The writing was pretty much on the wall at that point. Shanes comments saying the advice will get him knocked out in a fight he looked like he was about to get knocked out in anyway.

Your looking at your fighter. A fella that can properly hit. Who has a game changer punch in him i say at some point you do need to roll that dice. The irony is....Joshua almost did turn the fight on its head before idiotically leading with an uppercut from too far out.

I can see it both ways. A coach giving Joshua instruction to tuck up etc in that position isnt bad advice but neither is the roll the dice comment mainly because at that point the gig was looking up regardless.

I was a Davison apologist for a while because he clearly has a mind for boxing, however it mostly seems to be entirely theoretical knowledge.

Either that or his training methodology isn’t up to scratch which we wont know unless we are in his gym watching him with his athletes.
