If we are saying that Usyk comes in the same conditioning and mindset as he did against Rico then there is a really good chance that Hrgovic would win. However, that wouldn’t have happened. If Usyk was fighting an actual boxer he would’ve taken the fight more seriously and come to fight in good enough shape to win a decision comfortably over Hrgovic.

Usyk night and day. There's levels to this sport, and Usyk has no issues grinding out 12 rounds.

Usyk had a big issue grinding out a decision over AJ in the rematch and Hrgovic is more mobile and a better boxer than him.

Usyk from AJ 1 (and probably in all of his performances prior to Rico) outboxes Hrgovik comfortably to a UD. I doubt the same is the case for the Usyk of a few months ago. Father Time is undefeated.

    What big issue?

If you talking about the 'big round 9' that's been way overplayed. Even though I think Joshua was better in the 2nd fight, it was actually on my cards a clearer Usyk victory, as Usyk did not have a mid rounds dip that he had in the first fight. I had it 116-112 in the first fight, and 117-111 in the 2nd. Competetive but clear, and no significant issues in either fight.

Awesome. I was talking about the official scorecard which was a SD with 7-5 on two cards. Pretty close.

Usyk looked like he was struggling with father time...

But Hrgovic isn't exactly a fast fighter with an excellent gas tank - Usyk would still UD him comfortably, he's not that declined just yet.

Ooft, that fecking disgrace? Ok I get what you mean now - Howard Foster scoring that 115-113 for AJ was some egregious crap!

Can we not do what fans always do after a fighter gets a win and start pretending they're something they're not? Hrgovic still is a statue who gets hit constantly and doesn't have very good offense himself. Usyk, even at this late stage, would run circles around him and win every round.

Usyk dominated AJ in both fights when he was still growing into heavyweight. He'd easily outpoint Hrgovic because fighters like Hrgovic is Usyks bread and butter.
