How powerful was the uppercut that Itauma landed on Hrgovic?

Was this all due to Hrgovics chin that he ate it for breakfast, or was there something about how Moses threw it that took away some of the power?

Force equals Mass x Acceleration. Itauma was over 240 lbs throwing that fast cut, so that's why I'm thinking there was either something about his technique that nerfed the power of the shot, or Hergovic really does have one of the best chins of all time?

Or perhaps its a combination that Itauma isn't as powerful as advertised and that Hrgovic has a great chin.

I expected that to at least wobble him. It was a beautifully landed uppercut.

He didn't even flinch. The same punch knocked out Franklin. Maybe due to tiredness it wasn't as powerful against Hrgovic but it looked hurtful to me.

Itauma is powerful, but not *that* powerful—I’d say David Haye-level power...

I do think Moses power is overrated.
I dont think right now he has elite power (maybe he develops it as his body changes in his late 20s, maybe he doesnt)

That being said it was still a right peach of a shot and crazy that Filip barely flinched.

Filip has that Vitali type chin.

Big Bang who has stopped 22 of his 27 victims, including knocking out 15 of his 16 previous going into the Hrgovic fight and 3 of those 5 fights that went the distance were 4 rounders, and one of the others a 6 rounder all of which obvious very early on in his career, 3 of them being in his first 6 fights

ie. the 280lb man mountain who one punch iced the iron-jawed man mountain Big Joe Joyce flat on his face like a sack of potatoes

Dropped the very sturdy chinned J-Park x 2 despite barely letting his hands go all night, including dropping him with a six inch punch that looked more like soft caress than a punch, cracked a 34lb lighter Hrgovic with his bombs for 12 rounds straight and apart from a bogus KD in round one didn't come close to dropping him

    Dropped Kabayel

One punch smoked Thee Dosser in comical fashion

The same Big Bang who is arguably the hardest puncher in the division and it's a very strong argument

KO 95% Dubois whose vaunted power was enough to Big Joe Joyce into a giant Virgil Hill jab merchant

Who has stopped every single one of his 22 victims sans 1, the very stick and durable survivor Kevin Johnson, and KO'd AJ on his face and is the only man to stop the iron-jawed walking PED factory Miller despite being almost 100lbs lighter, like 93lbs

Couldn't come close to dropping Hrgovic despite using his billy goat noggin almost as much as his fists

KO 92% David Adeleye who has a nasty left hook teed off on Hrgovic with like 13-14 unanswered hooks after cracking him with a huge left hook shortly before and Hrgovic ate it all and was on the attack immediately after when 99% of HWs would've been asleep on the canvas

Moses who went through a whole tournament, the European Juniors, stopping all his opponents in the first round on route to gold, and stopped 2 of his 4 opponents on route to gold in the World Youth Championships, has an insane KO50% in the amateurs, and is not only thee only man to floor Franklin but the only man to stop him and he did so on a HL reel one punch KO

He hit Hrgovic with the kitchen sink from start to finish and aside from a flash KD which was clearly a balance issue didn't come close to dropping him and Moses was the worst style match for Hrgovic imaginable. Moses is actually right-handed southpaw and that right hook is seriously heavy

But it's not only as a pro Hrgovic has displayed a titanium chin he's one of the very few elite SHWs/HWs who was never dropped or stopped in the amateurs and he had over 100 fights according to him including 30 WSB fights over 5 rounds and he fought damn near all the top SHWs and loads of big punchers and he was fighting in the WSB as young as 18 vs grown men

And he's never been dropped in sparring despite sharing a ring and going to war vs Wlad, The Dosser, Haye, Dubois, Fabio among many others. Haye told Shane McGuigan that Hrgovic was the best guy he sparred

His chin is ridiculous and always has been

He ate a lot of hard shots from Moses, but that one doesn’t look particularly hard. It snapped his head back just because it was an uppercut and his chin wasn’t tucked tight.

To me, it didn’t appear to have a ton of force thrown into it though. Like he didn’t get his hips/weight into it much, which can be hard to do when bending at the back a lot like Itauma was in that particular sequence. The arm was also kept pretty tight to the body which can take some potential steam off the punch too.

Not trying to be an arm chair “boxer”, but you asked and those are a couple things I can see. I’m sure it would have knocked the **** out of me.

I’m not saying it was a soft ball, lol. Just saying it didn’t appear to be thrown with that concussive force we’ve all seen when the body mechanics are right on point.
