I don't care about the score cards, the momentum was with Daniel at the time of the stoppage.. he was manhandling Hrgovic.. the Croatians face was tore up by numerous right hands so stop making out Dubois got some sort of lucky gift due to head butts... he was gassed & bloodied up & that was down to Dubois' bombs.. & if you watch the Dubois fight back I don't see any improvement against Itauma.. in fact his shots look slower now.. Looks more cumbersome than ever.. its just Itauma is so hyped that people are making this out to be some milestone victory in the boxing annals.. truth is hes a 21 year old kid with bags of talent but very little actual substance as of yet.. he simply just got old manned.. & u don't really get better at 34.. your best days are behind u, new team or not.

I counted over 20 headbutts in that fight! It was egregious and criminal that DDD wasn't deducted a point let along not DQd.

DDD may still have won on points - possibly if his billy goat impression was curtailed earlier, but I don't think Hrgo would have been cut up anywhere near as bad - DDD was targeting cuts and butting it constantly. Terrible stuff, I mind screaming blue murder on it live!

 

I'd have to check again but from what i recall they didn't look blatantly intentional to me.. they were mainly inside the clinches as the pace and fatigue escalated.. the damage mostly came from legal punches and normal inside-fighting.. Dubois deserved that win.. & he's not smart enough to be a dirty fighter LOL.. I'd also add if a fighter is continually butting u you should get the referees attention .. & at that level u should be smart enough to keep said fighter at bay too & not let him rough house u.. he did neither. Hrgovic didn't protest the stoppage even a little bit. Mentally and physically broken.

He's probably the 2nd best HW right now behind Dubois, considering Usyk is mostly retired. But he gets hit waaaaay to much to have any longevity.

Head butts played a big part in the Dubois v Hrgovic fight to deny it is giving Dubois more credit for the win than he deserves,hopefully we will see them fight again in a Unification fight .
