Yeah, I understand that. It was just the way it was said, like you assumed everyone here had boxed. I can't be the only one here who's never put on a pair of boxing gloves surely.

I think he was scared, too. Hrgovic wasn't going away. That screws up a fighters legs like when Spinks fought Tyson or Norton fought Foreman.

What resistance had he encountered before that test? This kind of fighter is not the first man you want to really be in a battle of wills against. It wasn't for a title initially so they all chose Hrgovic to be that guy, really questionable decision. Zhang didn't get rid of him, he went toe to toe with Dubois and was removed via cuts, he sparred prime Wilder and old but still hard hitting Haye. He took a battering from Adeleye who also hits hard. He has been around the top ten for like 5+ years and has a deep amateur pedigree.

Talk about a difficult first test against a durable opponent, he had apparently never heard of going 12 rounds. I suppose they thought only the absolute elite were destined to have the beating of him at this stage of his career. Considering the performance he did manage to put up that's also a great compliment to him we must concede, it was just an arrogant step too far. You need that arrogance though if channeled correctly and we can't be too harsh on a fighter being ambitious. He will hopefully do great things in time and be better for the lesson learned.
