David Price was better than Itauma

There was no issue with Itauma's chin as cited by Abel Sanchez and David Haye.

It was Moses' first time past 6 rounds. Hrgovic had gone 12 many more times

These threads are a bit overboard... But nowhere near as overboard as the hype threads for Itauma before the fight, or for Hrgovic since it.

 

Of course not - at least not in principle.

It doesn't stop him blasting out most guys without cinder block chins... It doesn't necessarily prove they won't stop him first, either.

Then again, if he goes too far in backing off and trying to pace himself then he could lose the explosiveness and become limited in a slightly different way...

We'll see - it's not necessarily over, he's not necessarily a total bust.. but he's not looking like he could be the dominant force many were expecting either.

 

Y'all gotta stop acting like it’s acceptable for a word level fighter to be literally incapable of competing past the halfway point of a fight.. Struggling to stand due to exhaustion at the halfway point of a scheduled world title fight is pretty solid evidence that someone isn’t prepared for that level.. This is okay in the 10th, 11th round…not the 6th.

He wasn’t tired and lowering his output or slowing down… He was stumbling around like a drunkard, losing balance, heaving for air.

People aren’t saying the guy has no talent, or that he can’t get to that level… but he has one world level fight, and he got stopped and looked completely unconditioned for it, albeit showing his talent and ability in the process.

 

It is just one loss, look at his record. Who cares about hype of others FFS.... if you buy into hype, whether negatively or positively, that's all on you. If you are incapable of ignoring the hype that OTHERS put on a boxer just for you to hate the boxer themselves, that says a lot more about you and your mindset. Maybe learn to think for yourself, come to conclusions on your own.

 

David Haye said he did everything perfectly except pacing himself.

Hrgovic and Haye have given high high praise. Ya'll gotta stop acting like you know more about boxing than high level professionals that live and breathe it everyday.

 

At age 21, Price was not even a pro. Turned pro at 26. Nice try kiddo...

You know world level boxers have different opinions on things too, and can even be wrong?

No one is saying the guy sucks, we’re just saying he has some work to do before considering him a true top level fighter… and that we all tried to tell everyone overhyping him as such to cool their jets before…

I’m not gonna say the guy is a top 5 fighter when he fought someone on the outskirts of the top 5 and lost. Im not gonna say hes top 10 when he hasnt fought or beat anyone in the top 10.

David Haye could say hes the best in the world, I don’t give a **** until he proves himself as such. What hes proven in his one world level bout is that he isn’t on that level yet.
