114-113 for Knyba reeks of corruption. He was the only judge to score the winning card for Joshua against Usyk in the rematch as well. I’m guessing Eddie Hearn pays him well.
The two 114-113 scorecards were obviously corrupt. I scored it 119-108, the closest it could possibly be giving every possible round to Ruiz would be 117-110. And the referee saved Ruiz from being stopped by giving him too much time, until there were only a few seconds left in the round.
They need to be brought out before a camera and explain their scorecards, if they won't come and explain then they can be suspended for a few months whilst other judges can have the opportunity to present more accurate scorecards. There is no way in hell you can make a case for 114-113 they're saying if Ruiz wasn't left sprawled on the canvas dripping blood in that round, he would have won the fight. What the **** is that about? He did absolutely nothing except somehow get up and survive that brutality, you could give him three rounds being super generous. These guys can't get away with that scorecard. What's worse is this result changes Knyba's life, they would have taken that away which is completely unacceptable.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/HRbPh0eWMAAIdel?format=jpg&name=large Glen Feldman gave Ruiz 4 of the first 5 rounds. After all his BS cards in his career, this dude must own a private island and a mega yacht to take him there. Same guy who gave AJ the 12th round against Usyk in their rematch to ensure AJ got the win on his card. Flat out scandalous.
He has put in a lot of bad scorecards But judging in America is horrific and clearly corrupt. So it's not like anyone has high expectations
I had it 114-113 exactly the same as those two judges. It was a fair score. Some rounds Knyba was doing nothing, missing a load of jabs and tying up, and Ruiz was at least landing some decent body shots.
When you see the judges names are ..Feldman, Cheatham, Moretti, DeLuca, Byrd. You know what to expect. Crazy how they've been able to get away with it for so long.
Well, a contrarian viewpoint. Rather refreshing, actually. How would you have scored Larry Holmes vs. Tex Cobb ... ?
A truly corrupt judge has no shame like Adelaide Byrd giving Canelo the win against GGG. In this case, Knyba still got the win.
Give him a sheet of paper that has two choices on it. A.) I'm incompetent and stupid, or B.) I'm a corrupt POS. He can't leave the table until he circles one.
I love that most of my boxing ‘hot takes’ are just me agreeing with the judges haha. From what I remember Holmes put a one sided beatdown on Cobb.
All I'll say is, watching last night I was getting flashbacks not only to AJ-Ruiz 2, but Holmes-Cobb. I'm afraid, friend Bigplatts, you would seem to be part of a very small club .... just you, Messrs. Feldman and (fellow judge) Morgan ... and possibly Eddie Hearn, in whose pocket Feldman and Morgan are presumed by many here to reside....
