by cleaning out Lightweight i mean beating the winner of Guzman vs CAmpbell and the winner of Casa vs JMM, therefore unifying WBA,WBC,WBA,IBF and Ring to me its option A no question thoughts?
i think at this point they are equally impressive i am pretty certain oscar would beat any of those guys at lightweight but to clean out a stacked division at this weight and stage of his career would be huge
Cleaning out that division would be more than huge, that would make him an all-time great I think. However, beating De La Hoya would be a career defining moment.
option A no doubt.but fighting DLH will give him more money and it seems that at this point its what he wants
Going up two weight classes and beating the bigger man, I think. Cleaning LW is somewhat expected to happen. Now, winning in at Welter and maybe looking like MAYBE he can stand his ground on that division, that's incredible.
It's not going to be easy beating someone like that decisively and I think credit should be given to JMM for being a tough elite opponent than criticism for Pac. A third fight is not out of the question.
Cleaning out LW would seem the more spectaculor task but beating Hoya is also good, just not as good in terms of legacy. But the pinoys would love the beating Hoya more than the division cleaning I'm sure. What history would say. He fought an older ATG who had been stripped of his title by smaller Mayweather in his proper division. Mayweather would get the real credit in hindsight.
cleaning out lightweight is more significant than beating dela hoya, imo. unifying the belts at 135 is better than fighting dlh for money, though the latter is much harder task
I would put it like this if he beats Hoya and Hatton **** 135. But 135 are the fights we would like to see I guess
