What can you say on Itauma's power?

Moses Itauma actually has very good power, although his speed makes it seem even better than it actually is.

I think Moses has enough power and speed to knock out any current heavyweight not named Filip Hrgovic. I would like to see him become more active - fighting every six months is not enough for a young boxer, he should be out every three months or so.

 

Itauma has power course he has but he also has Davison in his corner,a boxer fit trainer is not going to be able to develop a fighter with the potential that Itauma has,infact il be surprised if Davison is in Itauma’s corner in his next fight and if he is then Itauma has learned F all from his loss ! Hrgovic literally told Itauma to his face numerous times what he was going to do and he did exactly that ! There are very few fighters who have stopped every opponent they have faced ( can only think of Valero tbh) so at some point they are going to come across that opponent and that opponent for Itauma was Hrgovic. Davison literally had no plan B and the fight ended for Itauma exactly the way as he started it,winning rounds by too big of a margin whilst trying to stop/overwhelm Hrgovic. Take nothing away from Hrgovic this was always a big step up for Itauma and many sensed an upset for the heavily hyped Itauma and this was the case with Davison seemingly the only person that did not know the path Hrgovic would take to victory .

 

He’s definitely got good power. Have to remember that hrgovic can really take a punch. He took some bombs from Zhang like they were nothing.

 

It's about time you guys let that boxercise stuff go. Yes ben davison has his flaws, but he is obviously one of the most relevant coaches now and he and his team do a good job. They're certainly not the best at everything, but it's not like you could just swap in any other coach and they would do anything better.

By now they trained multiple world Champions and contenders. They have gathered experience and they also have successes. Some of theme very specifically attributed to their work. i think their work is an interesting addition to the sport and I wouldn't want to miss them.

Calling them out for previous boxercise is cheap and it's gatekeeping. Maybe some people want to advance in life and develop. Maybe he always wanted to be a pro coach. I certainly think I would enjoy it, too, and probably have pretty similar interests and flaws.

But many top pros choosing him as a coach and their successes are a better measuring stick for what they are worth than the constant stick they get in this forum.

 

Overrated. He has ko'd bums and an old, shot Whyte.

 

I think he has decent power, but it's vastly overrated. Hrgovic said it wasn't that bad, and Sanchez said he has bad technique. His speed and angles are what make his power look insane. Once he gasses out after two or rounds, it looks like it takes a huge dip. He needs to get with a trainer that can help him with his technique. I'm not sure he can fix his gas tank much. I think he might have some sort of genetic issue. His brother having a heart attack in his mid twenties and Itauma looking like he's having an asthma attack in the fight makes me think there's more going on than just laziness in training.

 

Don't know. I do know his gameplan was awful against a man that stood up to Zhang's power.

Clearly no where near that.

 

Where is the proof that Tyson hits harder than moses itauma ? Tyson in his prime got taken to distance by bonecrusher Smith and James Tillis 2 guys with Average Chins and

Filip hrgovic's Chin is a million times better than Bonecrusher Smith and James tillis... right now it's impossible to tell who hits harder we have to wait and see more of itauma..

 

Stop LMAO...if that was the case Franklin who's very durable and took AJ's best shots wouldn't have gotten Knocked out in 5 Rounds.... Joseph Parker went to distance with many guys that itauma would KO like Hugie Fury, Takam, Etc.... Whyte took Parker best Punches and moses smoked him in 1 Round lol... Moses Punches way harder than parker...

 

Franklin was very durable and never got Stopped.. LMAO.... Prime Mike Tyson was taken to distance against bonecrusher Smith and James tillis 2 Journeymans with Average Chins that were stopped multiple times before they fought Tyson lol..

 

Both fighters were infinitely better than Whyte, let alone franklin.

 

Tyson also stopped guys who hadn’t been stopped before. Pinklon Thomas is a far better fighter than anything Moses has beaten. And he hadn’t been stopped before. Spinks hadn’t been stopped either.

hell, even with his speed diminished, an older fat Tyson demolished Botha with one shot late in his career.

 

So did Ituama LMAO.. Ituama Knocked out Franklin who's very durable took AJ best Punches for 12 Rounds without getting dropped... Franklin has Never been stopped and he was very fresh when he fought Ituama... Ituama's competition in his first 15 Professional fights is Significantly Much better than Tyson in his first 15 fights and it's not even close..

 

Tyson ko'd Holmes dude. An old Holmes, but even that Holmes is miles ahead of Franklin. Both Thomas and Holmes are miles ahead of Franklin
