I have said for years that we should have something like this, but instead we get seniors taking one last shot at glory and they usually get destroyed by the younger guys.

If Usyk is tired of championship level boxing, but wants to continue then he should not be forced to take on world class guys: he should be able to fight bums and guys in his own age bracket.

Whilst I totally agree with this in principle, the pink elephant in this is that though Usyk has vacated the alphabet trinkets, he's STILL Ring champ AND he's lineal champ till he retires or loses; while these are still true he is muddying the waters IMO.

It doesn't matter how seriously someone takes Wilder he will always have that right hand windmill which could strike lucky at any time, I give him a 10% chance vs 25% chance in his prime.

Usyk deserves the fight whoever he wants after the charade both Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn did to him (nah, you didn't really beat the champ. You gotta fight him again!)

And he'll beat whoever is in front of him also. Regardless of who it is. Too bad we never got a "passing of the torch" fight with Moses Itauma, that would have been hilarious!

I think Usyk and his bank balance was happy with their charade

There is nothing to gain legacy wise for Usyk now.. the only reason he must want to continue is because of money.. but surely he's made enough? His retirement should be a gimme now.. Fury X2, Joshua X2 & Dubois X2.. & a silly crossover fight that inexplicably seems standard for boxing nowadays.. what does Wilder do for him or Fury again? Nothing. Wilder is so shot he can't even look semi decent against C level regional club fighters like Tyrell Herndon.. its embarrassing Usyk wants this fight... absolutely cringe.. & the Fury saga has been resolved. Just retire man its becoming tedious.

He talks as much **** as Fury does these days. Better for boxing if they all just retire, their era is over

I love Usyk, but he is squandering goodwill by trapping himself in this doom loop of pointless fights which do not enhance his legacy.

Agreed, it's not likely, but I think it's more likely than some think!

If he was pursuing these fights with mandatories' waiting, and facing someone who does not currently deserve a shot at a World Title.

Since he has no belts and no mandatories. He can pursue whatever fight he wants.

I would not mind Fury Usyk 3 with no belt on the line this time.

Both previous fights were competitive and really enjoyable watch.

I thought the first was pure gold. The second seemed like Fury did just enough to loose. I would not want to see a third, because I don't want that off chance that he loses, but you are right that he can do as he likes, and I wish him well.
