Dude lost to Lenroy Thomas while Lenroy Thomas was working full shifts in a deep fried chicken shop just to make ends meet.

 

I'm not suggesting it's Dave this time but it's not the first time he's been in a weird fight

Nebo just laid down and died for him
Lucas Browne was a soft one
Dorian Darch was absolutely ridiculous

Now this, truly bizarre.

 

He's not nicknamed Dodgy Dave for nothing, some have suggested. The sooner he retires the better.

 

Taylor seems like a genuinely nice person and is by all accounts I wish her well but they were acting like Ali was
retiring last night not someone who arguably should have 3 or 4 losses on her record.
Adam Smith does my head in squawking and overselling everything he's embarrassing.

 

Last night was the worse he’s ever been. Can’t tell you how much him screeching over the ring walk annoyed me.

Yeah, man was still frying chicken while training. Soon after that fight, Joe Joyce absolutely battered Thomas, showing the levels between hype and reality of Dave Allen.

 

I believe he was struggling quite a bit financially. It was a big deal for him to win that. Allen came out with the usual excuses and still to this day shows little humility for the loss.

 

Allen was gracious in defeat, he said he was pleased for Lenroy, saying he was a "good fighter, not a great fighter but a good fighter", afterwards.

 

And in a thousand interviews and videos since has said Thomas isn't a very good boxer and he only lost due to not taking it seriously and it's the worst loss of his career and so on. He has literally taken the **** out of Thomas countless times.

 

Just seen the video of Thomas 'Uncle Albert' Carty doing his nosedive out of the ring. Definitely looked deliberate. Very strange.
