Don King is IMMORTAL. He will not die. A Ray of Light from Heaven will shine down on him, and he will walk into it, and Archangels shall escort Him to the Right hand of the Father, for Don is the Way, the Truth and the Light.
I just dont see the fight in MABs eyes anymore. He just wants to make some money now and i guess he earned it. It would be great if he could come out big and retarnish his legacy. The way he fought PAc was terrible for his legacy. Im a big fan but i would have rather seen him get KOed fighting his heart out than losing a wide UD and being on his feet at the end.
I wouldn't go so far as to say "thief", but it has to be disheartening to be promoted by a guy who is his own biggest star.
God I hoped that Marco had seen the light after the second PAc fight and would hang it up, but I guess it's not to be. Barrera's pride has completely taken over his good sense. There's no way he should need to keep fighting, and there's no way a guy who has been in the sort of wars he's been in (with Kevin Kelly, two with Juinor Jones, three with Morales, two with Pacquiao, etc, etc) should keep fighting. Especially not for a five year contract with Don "Satan" King. Regarding Oscar vs King: you know, I've never liked Oscar. Never. And his latest fight just proves that he's a complete chump to me. But I was kinda glad to hear about him starting his promotion company and hearing how many fighters were jumping onto it, (even if it seemed like an awful lot were big name guys well past their primes), in part because it seemed like it would be another bit of pressure that could push King out of the sport. But Oscar continually coming out of retirement makes me think he's lost it too, and if I were a fighter anywhere near WW or MW I'd be almost as leery of signing on with Oscar as with King: I'd be afraid I'd never get a marquee match because Oscar would try to take it for himself so he could prove his legacy and try to silence everyone who questions his accomplishments. Oscar's ego is running wild.
