Only an idiot would dispute Ali’s greatness.

I really don't know how he comes to that conclusion.

Naseem Hamed- mostly a hype job who when he met a decent fighter in Barrera got his mouth shut and retired like the baby he is.
Ken Norton-gave Ali and Holmes boxer types trouble was handed the title he never won and lost against any big puncher.
    Aaron Pryor-black bottle
Jack Johnson-impressive defense but otherwise a yawn, got put on his can by a middleweight and is best remembered for his arrogance than anything else.
    Riddick Bowe-obvious reasons
    Winky Wright-yawn
    Canelo Alvarez-there's something lacking there.

Terry McGovern is 1 of the most accomplished fighters in history over a relatively short span, yet what (admittedly scant) footage we have of him in his (quite blatantly) fixed fight w/ Gans makes him look like a drunken brawler. Just look @ him flailing w/ both hands simultaneously at the 0:35 mark of the vid below, like he's trying to punch Gans w/ both hands @ the same time. :qmeparto::qmeparto:

As far as I'm concerned, Ali is the most overrated sportsman in history.
He was great, but nowhere near as great as some make him out to be.

That’s your opinion, and it has nothing to do with the title of the thread.

Sure, Hopkins and Ward are dirty fighters, but they do anything to win. How old are you? You don't think a 49 year old winning a boxing title is impressive? Or how about winning an Olympic gold medal? Or being the HW champion of the world for almost 10 years? Or being considered the best boxer against all of your thousands of peers? What do you do for a living? What is your biggest accomplishment in your life?
