I assume Macca means lower end of top 10 or top 15 HW ATGs.

I think hes rated properly at heavyweight, but under rated in a p4p sense. Holyfield was really a great and complete fighter who could box in a variety of ways well.

See, I don't dispute his top-10 ranking.. too much.. I just say he was/is underrated.

Tyson was the favorite going into their first fight.. because Holyfield was underrated.

Uh...seriosuly...WTF? Did you read the title of the thread?

By the way, I am not particularly a Tyson fan, either. Lewis was my guy.

Nearly everything you said was putting an * by a Holyfield fight. Because he's underrated. Did you bring up PED cheat too?

Hey, it's just different opinions. Some people think he's underrated, which is kind of what he's known for. Some people don't.

No hanging matter. All good in the hood.

Yes I did. That is "Evan Fields."

I was clearly explaining the real reasons why there is no reason to overrate him and concluded that he and his fans can be happy about where he is. That's all.

Yes I would say he is underrated and an all time great. Leave it at that.

Or is his legacy about right?

11 to 15 all time. He was a PED abuser, therefore I cannot rank him higher.

PEDs tend to help in that regard.

Well Evan Fields only survived the quarterback blitz because Lee Haney was pumping him with the hot steroid injections

No. Holyfield got an endless shower of unearned title shots and became a 4x champion. If Holyfield was underrated this would not have happened.

He’s a tough one to rank for sure. Skilled enough to beat most on his best night. Sometimes inconsistent and lack luster against men he should have beat. He reminds me of a slightly more consistent Walcott. Good enough to beat a Louis or lose to a Layne. Roids also hurt his rankings although he shouldn’t be beat up about it literally everyone was on roids and still is
